Introducing The Heritage Collection 🖤🤍

The final look from our NZFW debut with the Kāhui Collective – the Taiari Dress.
Made in 100% merino knit, the Taiari Dress is named after the Taiari River. Its lettuce frill hem traces the winding curves of the river, while the figure-hugging, maxi-length silhouette was designed to celebrate and accentuate the beauty of the plus-size form.

As the finale piece, the Taiari Dress embodies what The Heritage Collection is all about, grounding design in place and story, honouring both strength and softness, and carrying forward threads of memory into something new.

Introducing The Heritage Collection 🖤🤍

Look 7 from our NZFW debut with the Kāhui Collective – the Tailings Shirt paired with the Martock Skirt.
The Tailings Shirt continues the story of Central Otago’s Tailings Creek, where remnants of the gold mining era sit alongside memories of my whānau grazing sheep during the dry summer months. With a pointed collar, back yoke and refined pleated cuff, it’s a timeless piece that blends sharp tailoring with softness in the detailing.

Paired with the Martock Skirt – a full-length lace maxi skirt, grounding the collection in both strength and delicacy.

Introducing The Heritage Collection 🖤🤍

Look 6 from our NZFW debut with the Kāhui Collective – the Taiari Top paired with the Valley Shorts.

The Taiari Top is named after the Taiari River, a place of significance to the area I grew up in. The lettuce hem finishes symbolise the winding curves of the river, echoing its ever-changing path through the landscape. Made in a beautiful merino jersey, a nod to my farming upbringing.

Paired with the Valley Shorts, a counterpart to the Valley Pants, this look draws on the sweeping valleys of Central Otago where my whānau live and farm. With a wide-leg cut and rushed elasticated waistband, the shorts bring structure while still embracing freedom and ease.

Introducing The Heritage Collection 🖤🤍

Look 5 from our NZFW debut with the Kāhui Collective – the Voyage Dress.

The Voyage Dress is a continuation of the storytelling behind the Voyage Blouse, inspired by journeys and movement. Its soft cowl neckline and open tie-back give it versatility, designed to be worn on or off the shoulder, while the fluid drape of the fabric creates a sense of freedom and elegance with every step.
The name “Voyage” speaks to both physical and personal journeys, to the way our ancestors travelled, and the paths we continue to walk today.
