From Ōtepoti Dunedin: iD Capsule Designer Rhian presents Where Flowers Rust

Designed and made in Dunedin, Rhian’s Spring Summer 2026 collection explores the tension between fragility and decay, where softness meets corrosion and beauty evolves through transformation.

Florals, pearls and soft palettes meet rusted textures, chains and worn surfaces. A striking interplay of bloom and breakdown, where imperfection becomes the aesthetic.

Founded by Brittany Nelson-Misa, Rhian is a contemporary slow-fashion label merging emotion, sculptural form and function. Each collection begins with poetry, unfolding into original prints and sculptural silhouettes, crafted with natural fabrics and a considered, sustainable approach.

Produced in small runs or made to order, each piece reflects a deeper connection between designer, maker and wearer, designed for those who value individuality and intention.

Discover the collection at rhian.co.nz and at The Shelter Dunedin and Auckland.

All eyes on JOJO ROSS

From an iD International Emerging Designer Awards finalist in 2012 to launching her eponymous label in 2016, and returning as a capsule designer in 2020 and 2023, Jojo Ross continues to evolve.

Originally from Central Otago, the Otago Polytechnic graduate was featured in Vogue Italia’s 100 designers to watch and selected by ‘Not Just a Label’ to showcase her work in Italy.

Most recently at Te Wiki Āhua o Aotearoa, where FENELLA made its runway debut — named after and shaped by the arrival of her first child. A softer shift, grounded in clarity, ease and quiet confidence.

Designed and made in Aotearoa, Jojo continues to refine a distinct design language, balancing sculptural forms, strong tailoring and industrial finishes with colour and unexpected prints.
