Meet Hineora
A name carrying deep feminine energy, life force, and peace.
“Hine” represents feminine presence, ancestral womanhood, and spiritual strength, while “ora” speaks of life, healing, vitality, and wellbeing.
Together, Hineora means: “She who carries life, healing, inner strength, and peace.”
Combined with the energy of the hei tiki, she represents protection, wisdom, whakapapa, and the enduring spirit carried through generations. Her closed eyes reflect inner knowing and calmness, while her flowing form symbolises balance, renewal, and connection to wairua.

“Absolutely in love with how this Inanga Mere turned out.
The depth, flow, and natural energy in this Arahura pounamu from the West Coast of the South Island is something truly special.
Beautiful Inanga Mere resting on an old NZ power pole base and framed with deer antler.
Bringing together the raw beauty of Aotearoa.
Massive thank you to my clever partner Andrew for creating the beautiful rustic stand to display it on, it suits the piece perfectly and really brings it to life.

Congratulations Ana Walsh 💚 🐎

After reading your story, there was no question in my heart who this handcrafted pounamu horseshoe was meant for.

Four years fighting stage 4 cancer, continuing to find strength, healing, and grounding through your horses, especially your beautiful old girl with one eye , is something truly powerful and inspiring.

You spoke about how your horses became your saving grace through years of uncertainty, and that deeply touched me. This horseshoe felt like it belonged with someone who truly understands the meaning of strength, resilience, healing, and connection.

So with love, I would be honoured for you to receive this handcrafted pounamu horseshoe from Deep South Pounamu. May it carry protection, strength, and a reminder that even in the hardest seasons, there is still beauty, hope, and light surrounding us.

Thank you to everyone who shared their stories. Reading them was emotional and incredibly humbling.

Sending love and many blessings to you Ana on your healing journey 🤍

Custom Commission – Pounamu Tuna (Eel)

This piece was never just carved — it was felt into existence.
Created as a commission, this pounamu tuna carries intention from the very first cut. There’s a quiet strength in the eel… a knowing. It doesn’t rush, it doesn’t fight the current — it moves with it, trusting where it’s going.
There’s something deeply grounding about this form. The tuna is a guardian of the water, a provider, a survivor. It reminds us that even in the unseen depths, we are guided… we are held… we find our way.
As this piece took shape, the stone revealed its own story — dark, deep greens flowing into softer tones, like currents weaving through still water. Nothing forced, everything becoming exactly what it was meant to be.
Carved by hand here in Southland by Michelle Harrington of Deep South Pounamu, and blessed before it leaves — not just as a piece of jewellery, but as a taonga carrying wairua.
This isn’t something you simply wear.
It’s something that walks with you.

Pounamu Toki – Flow

This piece speaks before you even touch it.
A beautiful inanga toki, alive with soft flowing lines that move through the stone like water. There’s a calm strength in it — steady, grounded, and deeply connected.
This wasn’t forced into shape. It was guided. The flow in the pounamu led the way, and I followed.
Bound strong and worn close, this toki carries the meaning of strength, courage, and forward movement — for someone who knows who they are and where they’re going.
You don’t come across pieces like this often.
One piece. One owner
