Finished this Swansea dress on Friday last week. Made from a gorgeous gold/mustard chiffon with beautiful ivory/taupe/black large hand painted flowers. This dress is a wardrobe staple which can be hooked up on the side to give it a little more shape or wear her straight for a classic look. As this fabric is see through it has been photographed with a black slip underneath. Is a size NZ Medium which would fit a 10-14. Strictly a one off garment. Available for $89 on Trademe.

Meet the Dublin Top. Made from a Rayon/Nylon blend this top is so easy to wear. Hang her loose or tuck her in. The top is a OSFA which means it ranges from a NZ size 10 to 16. I have 3 of them in different colours and thought it was time I shared her with all of you. Remember my designs are one-offs but I can make them in different fabric and colours. 3 more pieces cut out making a total of 8 now. I think that will keep me busy for the rest of the week. Comment your fav fabric and I’ll make that one first. The first picture is a Pink mix watercolour rayon/nylon blend. The second is a gingham 100% linen and the third is again a 100% linen in denim blue. You will have to wait to see the finished garment to find out what it is. 😄.

The start of this week’s projects cut out and ready for sewing up. Still have 3 pieces to cut out but they’re tomorrow’s job. If you’re not a sewer you won’t know how long and tedious laying out fabric, placing pattern pieces to make the most of your fabric and then the cutting out it is. It’s a time consuming job but when you’re a one woman band it has to be done. Let’s just say there are a few rest breaks between each one. For me the making up is the easiest and most enjoyable stage. Keep an eye out for a couple of new styles that I’m using for my spring/summer range. I already have these styles made up for myself and because I’ve been getting a few compliments on the style I thought it was about time I share them. Remember my garments are all one-off pieces but I can make them in different fabric and sizes. Most of my designs fit a broad range of sizes like a OSFA (one size fits all).

Finished my Skye dress today (available to buy on Trademe). In a silky feel polyester with a mix of colours on a pale mint/sage green background this dress is so versatile. Dress her up with heels for a special occasion or pair with white sneakers or sandals for work or lunch with with gals. In a NZ size M which would fit a 12-14. Other sizes available in different fabrics. Remember my designs are one-offs in the fabrics available which truly make them a statement piece.
