A huge thank you to all our Kerbsiders for your patience while we transition over to our new software and navigation system.

We’re getting very close, but there may still be the odd gremlin hiding in the system while everything settles in.

If we’ve missed your bin day, please let us know and we’ll get it sorted for you within 48 hours.

If your Kerbside bin has mysteriously vanished, don’t panic just yet. There’s a fair chance it hasn’t gone far, it might just be a smidge further downwind than where you left it.

Have a quick look down the road, around the corner, or in the neighbour’s hedge before declaring it officially missing.

Rex is already in pursuit. 🦖

Stay safe out there, and if you can, tuck your bin somewhere sheltered once it’s been emptied.

She came to Kerbside, worked 9 to 5, and then decided that was quite enough employment for one country music legend.

Gone from the roster, but permanently stuck on the playlist.

We’re looking for a reliable Driver / Operator to join our growing Hawke’s Bay team.

This is a full-time role with early starts, plenty of variety, and a great crew around you. A Class 2 licence is required, along with a solid work ethic, a good attitude, and confidence working independently out on the road.

Waste experience is useful, but character, reliability and the right attitude matter just as much.

Have you ever wondered where your rubbish goes after we collect it?

Most of us wheel our bins out each week without giving much thought to where they end up after the truck disappears down the road.

Yesterday, our team was at one of the commercial landfills servicing Hawke's Bay, and it was a timely reminder that every item we throw away has a final destination.

While much of our green waste is diverted and composted locally, general household and commercial waste ultimately ends up at carefully managed landfill facilities like this one.

It's a sobering but important reminder that there really is no such place as "away".

At Kerbside, we're passionate about helping Hawke's Bay households and businesses reduce what goes to landfill through smarter waste management and increased diversion wherever possible.

Next time you put your bin out, spare a thought for the journey it takes after it leaves your kerb. ♻️💚
