Couple of years ago my friend .zh sent me a picture of a vest she found online and asked if I could make one like it. I said yes… even though I had no idea how to do that collar at the time.

I made the pattern, puzzled over the construction of the collar, and learned everything I needed along the way.

This project taught me that it’s okay not to know everything at the start. Skills grow with the process — you just have to begin. And it still reminds me that even when I doubt my skills, I can create something beautiful inside and out ✂️🧵

Seeing how much she loves it makes it all worth it.

I made this dress for my friend , based on one of her old favorites with a few small updates.

This is the first dress I made about 3 years ago. Since then I have improved my skills and I can see that the wrong side is not perfect. But still it’s much better than what you can buy in a regular shop. I love this dress and wear it quite often in summer.

Actually it’s a wedding dress №104 Burda 3/2017, but not in white colour it looks less fancy.
I was asked how much it costs. Well it’s about $200 for fabric (for my size you need 6 mitres of fabric) + the cost of my work 😊
