Throwback to one of the best days of my life 🤍

It feels like yesterday but this was my wedding day in 2017 with my two beautiful children. We got married after 10 years together, and a huge part of waiting was making sure we had all our babies in our wedding photos. We had our two and were done by 25 ✨

Now I’m newly 37, and 18 years ago I became a mum for the very first time. I didn’t fail, and I didn’t “ruin” my life — which is what people so often assume when you have a baby in your teens.
Sure it was hard, but it wasn't impossible.

18 years later, I’m now working alongside this beautiful girl, who some of you have already met. She turns 18 next week ✨ And my little guy Ryder… well say no more, he’s just as amazing 🤍

As mothers, we question our parenting sometimes. We carry guilt, we want to be their friends, but we also know we have to be parents first.

This world is only getting harder, more complicated, and honestly, more dangerous. Teaching our kids to be strong, independent, aware, fierce, and kind is always the goal.

So to all the mums out there — Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday 🤍 You absolutely deserve every minute of the day to soak up the love & be proud of the humans you raised...you doing great xx

Almost 2 months in… 🤍

When we opened Reloved By You, our goal was simple — to offer quality clothing & goods, support sustainability, and bring people together in a world that’s increasingly digital.

✨ Quality you can feel
We’re proud to offer pieces at a fraction of the usual price — so much so that some of you have even asked to pay more at the counter! That’s exactly the point: great finds, accessible to everyone.

– Donating what doesn’t sell

🫶 Bringing people together
From friends shopping side by side, to chance run-ins with familiar faces, to visitors from overseas (and yes… the occasional husband being dragged in 😆), it’s been incredible to see this space come to life.

These past two months have been full of joy.
Thank you for every visit, every kind word, every little chat, every smile, and every purchase — it truly means the world to us.

WE WON’T BE ASKING…

We’ve had quite a few messages asking if we’ll be selling on consignment or accepting donations, so we just wanted to clear things up the answer is simple: no, we won’t be.

We’ll be filling the racks and stocking the shop ourselves. We won’t be selling on behalf of others, and we won’t be seeking donations.
Why?

Because we prefer it this way. It keeps our day-to-day running smoothly, and it’s how we’ve always operated even before having a shop. We’re a small business, and while we absolutely appreciate the messages and suggestions of “other recycled clothing shops do this,” we know — and that’s great for them but it’s just not how we choose to run things.

That said, if you have clothing you simply want to clear out and understand that some pieces may be sold in our shop, we’re happy to take them. Anything that doesn’t make it onto the racks will be donated to Te Omanga Hospice or The Salvation Army.

But just to reiterate — we will never ask for donations.
We’ve got it covered 😉

This was never the plan.
loved.by.you wasn’t created to be “just another shop.” It started as a hobby, built from a genuine love of thrifting and finding real quality at a bargain price. The kind of pieces that last, feel good, and make you stand a little taller.

We’re here for the people - always. But let’s be clear: this is a quality store. You won’t find fast fashion, throwaway trends, or mass-produced labels here. No Shein. No Kmart. No Warehouse. Every piece is chosen with intention, care, and standards we won’t compromise.

From walk-in wardrobe markets to Marketplace and clothing pages, our mission has stayed the same: to give someone the chance to own something amazing for less, so they can love how they look and how they feel.
With a wide range of trusted brands, we know there’s truly something for everyone.

We believe in kindness, community, and showing up better than we did yesterday. And the more this space is shared and supported, the more we can grow - for you, with you.

Hello & Welcome!!

Thank you for being here ✨
We’re a mama–daughter duo so excited to open the doors to something really special for our local community.

Our goal is simple: to offer the highest-quality second-hand clothing & goods the Bay has to offer, in a space that feels welcoming, inclusive, and full of heart.

My name’s Zoe, and I also own and run .of.life.insurance right here in Days Bay. Securing the space where The Cove once was has given us the chance to keep supporting our community in one way, while creating something new in another — a place to connect, browse, chat, and feel good about shopping sustainably.

Bailey & I will be the main faces you see in-store, but mostly hers as I will still be continuing with .of.life.insurance (nothing changes here 🥰) but together we’ll be well stocked and ready for you here at .loved.by.you . There’s quite literally something for everyone, and we can’t wait for this space to become part of your regular wander.

Please keep an eye out for more updates and our opening date, coming soon.
