Like so many, we are feeling the shock, the sadness, and a deep desire to show up and help in a meaningful way.
Lucy, one of the co founders of Bettie Monroe, lives in Muriwai. Inspired by the way locals came together to raise over $20,000 through a tee shirt fundraiser after the Muriwai landslides, she reached out to local designer Tayla Williams to create something meaningful with us.
Tayla’s design features 6 trees and 3 birds to represent the souls lost and a rising sun shining across our beautiful community in remembrance.
We are releasing a limited pre sale fundraising tee. This is a not for profit fundraiser, with 100% of profits going directly to support the families impacted. It is a small way to turn care into action and stand together as a community.
The pre sale is now open. The tee is $79, with the option to contribute more if you wish to increase your donation. We are also offering a fundraiser bumper sticker for $19.
Initial orders close Sunday and will be made within one week. We will also be making a small number available to view and try on in store at Bettie Monroe within one week, for those who would prefer to see the fit first. The tee is a beautiful quality, lightweight AS Colour style with a relaxed, on trend fit, available in black or white. Sized XS to XXL
