Introducing Thieving Acorns latest project “1of1s”

Some of you might already know, One of our founding members studied fashion design abroad in Switzerland. Now Taane’s (Coufi) back he wanted to start a project to provide a space for people like him starting out in the fashion industry, Teaming up with Alice (Beverley’s) and Bryce (NoLogo) the team have finally bought this project to fruition.

Creating 1of1s is a starting point for most budding fashion designers, we have created a place where fashion designers can sell there unique creations (one of only one) and make some money to fund more creations, creating a 1of1 as a fashion designer is an expression of themselves and their own unique style. It also provides a place for learning and growth with each addition to the 1of1s page on thievingacorn.com (always plug) is another project under a fashion designers belt and another step further in them achieving their dreams.

1of1s is a place where fashion designers based in Hawkes bay or around New Zealand can sell their unique, handcrafted garments. Thieving Acorn is providing an avenue of sale for up and coming fashion designers who want to flog their wares, without the hassle of bank transfers, marketing and shipping with the cheeky bonus of Afterpay and Laybuy 😜 We invite anybody who creates 1of1s to flick us a dm if they are interested in coming onboard 👍

The Thieving Acorn crew have been working hard over the holidays to come up with new Collections and Projects for 2024.
We are currently working on our newest project that we plan on launching in February, so keep an eye out 👀 also we are always looking for artists of any sort to potentially collaborate with in the future, if this sounds like you like some one you know, hit us up in the DMs. 🔥🙏

🚨 THISTLE DEW GIN 🚨 As some of you might know, one of the founders (Sean Hughes) of Thieving Acorn is also a Full Time Distiller at The National Distillery Company in Napier. He’s been working tirelessly in the little free time he has to create a Gin that is perfect for the up coming summer. This new Gin has won two silver medals this year in two different competitions in NZ. Collaborating again with .tattoo using designs and concepts from our Thistle Dew collection we have put out a beautifully crafted Gin with amazing bottle designs that will be sure to shine in your liquor cabinet. Last week, Sean and the crew where recognised for the hard work and dedication to the community following Cyclone Gabrielle. Big shout out to everybody who nominated us for this special award, and massive thank you to the Napier City Council for putting on a lovely evening. 🙏😁

We are extremely proud and feel privileged to announce the massive success of the collaboration between NDC and Thieving Acorn. With over $33,000 already donated and a further $35,000 being donated at the end of July we have reached a total of over $68,000! But we desperately want to do a final big....

Totes are blimmin useful and have become a practical accessory for self expression. NZ has made changes for our futures by phasing out single use plastic bags. Many business no longer offer free bags and fair enough. I have totes in my car boot always and never leave the house without one in my pocket. Even my totes have totes inside 🙂🙃

After a successful launch of our new collection “Stems” a couple of our sizes have sold out but we will have more stock very soon!
The Shirt modelled here by the gorgeous is called “Feng Shui” wind in water has come together is this beautiful piece.
Check out on she’s an up and coming, young Fashion Designer here in Hawkes Bay fresh out of E.I.T with a few projects in the pipeline, keep an eye out for some unique garments coming from her.

Our friends .store.nz helped us out with the photoshoot for this collection, they sell thrifted pieces that they rejuvenate and give a second chance at life.
