Loving all things a wee bit rustic and with a touch of whimsical flair we create wedding flowers that will make your heart sing. Your wedding day is the biggest celebration of your life and we passionate about coordinating the perfect elements to reflect your personal

style. From berries to seed pods, fine woven vines to full vintage blooms, the combinations of colour, texture and scent will be as individual as you. Your requirements may be as simple as your bridal bouquet and a buttonhole for your groom, or floral touches as far as the eye can see. We apply the same expertise and attention to detail and quality whatever the scale, to make your big day complete.

Oppps, so i was supposed to post this after I'd made it ages ago, but never got around it to.
So now swap out the sentence "styled shoot from a few weeks ago, to a few months ago now" 😄

Spring arrangements will always have my heart! 🩷💚💛🤍💜

I've had a few workshop enquiries coming through so I just thought I'd do a little post.

After a busy wedding season, winter's a great time for me to take a break, recharge, spend lots of days gardening and quietly work away on planning for next season's weddings and workshops.

September + October are great months for hosting my workshops and I am definitely planning some, so we can use all sorts of delicious 😋 floral goodies like the ones pictured here!

Beautiful, detailed shots of this wired wedding bouquet I created for a recent styled shoot in Hawkes Bay, NZ.

It was constructed on an aluminum wire frame base, with the flowers threaded directly onto the frame, with some blooms secured on with a florist cold glue.

This was the very first attempt at making a bridal bouquet using this technique and I was really pleased with the results of how it turned out!

Such a gorgeous selection of bridal party florals going out this season, and I loved each and everyone!

Which would you pick?

1. Bright funky, multi coloured?

2. Deep moody, rich tones?

3. Modern white and greens?

4. Soft pastel mix?

5. Autumn feminine tones?

6. Bright + pastel summer mix?

I loved how this arrangement turned out. From the shape, and plant material to the flower selection, it has such a modern botanical feel which i love.

The rich burnt chocolate tones in the Orchid throats echo the colour of the Anthuriums, creating a sence of pure harmony. That wasn't by chance - it was by design.

The subtle hints of pink in the Begonia plant, are repeated in the tips of the budding Jasmine, again this was by design.

Every colour, texture, line, and placement has been considered. Years of studying the elements and principles of floristry design combined with experience, are what allow an arrangement like this to come together with intention, feel balanced, and is eye catching to explore.

How cute are the open double cyclamen flowers?
I've got many cyclamen in my garden, but I've never seen a double one, so when I saw it I was so inspired to use it!

I'm excited to keep exploring this technique and learning through creation!!

Creating for nothing more than pure enjoyment ✨️

After doing floristry for so long and creating designs for years and years it's so easy to stay in the comfort zone. The zone that feels familiar, the one that feels safe, the zone that I can just cruise along in, still feeling creatively fulfilled but not often challenged.

I said to myself I couldn't add more to my
"One day I'd love to create something like that"
list without actually creating something that's already on it.

So here it is.
My, "I'm going to make one of those one day" bridal bouquet.

The one that's been on the top of my forever growing list of 'one day' creations.

Thanks to SUE MCLEARY | FLORAL DESIGN EDUCATION for sharing her creative concepts with the world. For inspiring florists all the way in little New Zealand to keep creatively exploring, not only for our clients but for ourselves.
