I know I have been off the grid for a while. Juggling study and mum life has been all consuming this year. Learning to be a counsellor opens space for a lot of self reflection and evaluation, add that onto the day to day assessments and work placement in a bachelor degree and I haven't been left with much mental energy at all.

But...my boys are growing at super speed and the 2 year old is ready for his big brother's hand-me-downs before big bro has even grown out of them! So I made time to whip this cute tracksuit up with extra length in the legs for my lanky boy. He will be over-joyed when he gets home from daycare 🦕

Second pic is of my boys at The Amazing Dinosaur Discovery where the littlest was so terrified he launched himself out of the dinosaur egg in an effort to escape 🥺😂 had to share as it was dinosaur related.

So, I am still around making things here and there. With still another 18 months left of my degree, I hope my beautiful followers will stay loyal and hang in there until I can get back to making all the gorgeous kids clothes again with full focus and enthusiasm 🥰

That neckline though...

Ever wondered why shop bought items look so different to handmade? It's the small details.
On this Adventurer Raglan I've enclosed the seam attaching the neckband to the body to give it a more professional and neat look.

If you sew, here's how to do it:
Cut a strip of fabric the length a little longer than the distance between the shoulder seams and approx 1.5 inches wide.
Fold it in a tad at each end and then fold in half long ways
Once you've pinned your neckband in place, pin this fabric strip on top from one shoulder to the other and sew all together in one layer. It will look like you're attaching a second neckband but a bit thinner.
Once it's all sewn on, fold the fabric down over the raw edges, pin in place and top stitch neatly along the folded edge

I hope this makes sense without pictures 😬 I'll make a tutorial if anyone wants 👩‍🏫

🌟 Every Day Overalls 🌟

I posted a short pair of these a while ago, and you guys loved them! As summer is nearing an end 😭 I've made some with full-length legs

These all feature a snap crotch for easy nappy changes and a little pouch pocket to keep all the treasures (rocks, shells, lollies 😆) in.

They're all made from rescued adult jeans, so as well as being cute, they are good for the planet 🌍🍃
