I keep all of my fabric scraps and am always looking for new ways to use them. So far this has to be one of my faves 🥰

I love how I can pull this out and use it over and over again for any special occasion.

At the age of 15 I was told sewing isn't a real career and that I need to pay more attention otherwise I'd end up working at Mc Donald's for the rest of my life...

Firstly, I worked my but off having 2 jobs during high school to support myself and shouldn't have been shamed for that especially by an older male teacher 🙄

Secondly, well... in reflection I'm actually really grateful for that comment now because it gave me the drive to really follow my passion and succeed at it.

I feel so grateful that I pursued my dream job and that I now get to inspire thousands of people all over the world to sew their own clothes too.

It all started with creating a silly little Instagram account and finding a community of those who believed in my dreams too.

Story time 🥹👀....

The original plan was to quit my 9-5 and start sewing made-to-order garments full time again. But the universe had other plans for me.

I quickly fell pregnant so I had to re-think what I wanted for this business and how I could work it in with being a mum!

I considered having garments made overseas, employing someone full time or even closing the business completely after the arrival of our baby boy.

But something unexpected happened, my digital sewing pattern went a little viral after I opened orders for it world wide and it made me realise that there really was an opportunity to pivot the business in a way I never thought was possible.

I released another 2 sewing patterns and you guys really supported my dreams 🙏💖🥰

Now I sit here at the river at 2pm on a Wednesday, due in just 3 weeks time with a sense of calm and excitement knowing that I can be the mum I have always dreamed of without having to stop or slow down my dream career.

That’s all thanks to each and every one of you for supporting my small business xx
