6’0” Snub V2 custom for Aaron. Surfing mainly around Bream Bay, we came up with the Snub V2 as his daily driver.
It might look like a fish, but it’s a highly versatile board that handles anything from waist-high to overhead waves. The fuller nose outline adds stability and paddle power, making it easy to get into waves early.
A wing in the tail creates a straighter outline through the front section for added drive, then breaks the curve to pull in the tail. Combined with the swallow tail and twin channels, this gives the board bite and hold through tighter, steeper sections.
Ride it as a twin + 1 or a quad.

Here is a little clip of a custom we made for a good friend .kinnear. He come to us with a brief, he wanted a pintail with a wing for the waves we get in Northland and wanted to ride it mainly as a twin or a twin plus one. We also put a set of plugs slightly forward of the twins at the tri fin placement so he could play around and fine tune. It has a flat deck for extra volume and a beveled down rail that still keeps the board nice and sensitive. We also added channels to help with drive and hold, this works in well with the twin fin set up. We had on the graphics with a spray and sand through filler coat.

Adding a splash of colour to a custom epoxy. If you were wondering why it takes two guys to apply the coat, it’s because it’s way too hot in the peak of summer to do it on my own. By the time the colour is mixed in and brushed on the filler coat will be going off. If I was doing it by myself I would probably have a hard and smoking second pot of resin before I had even poured it out. Thanks for the help and

7’6” custom MidXL we made for and

This one was a fun build! They decided to go for a translucent caramel coffee resin tint and gloss & polish finish. Translucent resin tints are hard to get perfect and any little imperfection will show up in the end product if you are not careful. I am pretty stoked with how this one turned out. Happy surfing team! 🙌
