Still buzzing from another epic kobakei event ✨🐑

WoolOn is such a fantastic celebration of wool, creativity and the incredibly talented t
makers who find new and unexpected ways to work with this beautiful natural fibre.

I absolutely loved judging again this year alongside Liz Mitchell, Jane Sutherland and Lucy Girvin. It was a tough job - the calibre of entries was incredible - but one of my favourite parts is seeing how differently each entrant has interpreted wool and pushed the boundaries of what can be created with it.

And you never quite know who you’re going to find at WoolOn! 🤍 So lovely to catch up with the beautiful Amanda Bransgrove , who is a huge advocate for wool and has recently created the Wool Pass.

There’s a lovely full-circle story here too. Amanda was my nanny at Bendigo when I was a wee girl, and more recently has been a PERRIAM model. From Bendigo Station all those years ago to standing together at an event celebrating the fibre that has been such a big part of both our lives. 🥹

Congratulations to everyone who entered, organised, volunteered and helped bring WoolOn to life. Events like this are such an important reminder of just how innovative, versatile and exciting wool can be. ❤️🐑

It’s our last week in our beautiful Wānaka boutique and I definitely have mixed feelings. ❤️

Sadness, because I’ve loved this space so much. Gratitude for an incredible ten years here and all the memories that have come with it. And excitement for what the next ten might bring.

A more curated PERRIAM collection, a little flagship glow-up at Christina and Callum Grant, and hopefully plenty of new adventures along the way.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the overwhelming amount of love and support after we shared the news that we won’t be renewing our Wānaka lease. ❤️

I was soooo nervous about posting it, but the beautiful comments and messages from you all completely overwhelmed me - in the loveliest possible way.

It really feels like PERRIAM and Tarras Village are entering a new chapter, and we’re so excited about what’s ahead. You’ve always been such an incredibly supportive community, but this time I’ve really felt it. Thank you. ❤️

And speaking of red… do we love this colour? 👀 A little hint of what might be coming this summer…

Recently I was invited by Mountain Club to join a conversation about the future of fashion in Aotearoa.

I was lucky enough to be joined by such a great panel - Hamish Acland of Mons Royale Nat Newlands of New Lands Studio and stylist Lou Heller Lou Heller - sharing our thoughts, experiences and hopes for the future of our local industry.

Such a great evening, surrounded by brilliant people and plenty of interesting conversation about New Zealand fashion, where we’ve come from and where we’re heading.

After ten wonderful years, we are saying goodbye to our Wānaka store.

This has not been an easy decision.

We came to the end of our ten-year lease and spent a long time considering whether to sign on for another ten. It’s hard to walk away from something that is working, but in my heart I knew it was the right decision.

I kept coming back to one question - what do I want the next ten years of PERRIAM to look like?

And the answer kept bringing me home to Tarras.

Tarras is where PERRIAM began. It is where our flagship store is, where so much of our family story lives, and where I feel Mum all around me.

Since having Walter, I’ve thought a lot more about time, family and what we want to create together. I’ve realised what an incredible gift my parents left us in Tarras Village, and I want to put our energy, love and creativity into making this special place somewhere worth making the journey for.

For PERRIAM, it also means doing things a little differently. Less about more, more, more - and more about creating beautiful, considered pieces and collections that feel truly special.

To everyone who has walked through the doors of our Wānaka store over the past ten years, thank you. We have loved being there and being part of your lives.

It’s goodbye Wānaka, but the beginning of something that feels very exciting.
