Tauranga Embroiderers' Guild Sharing in the joys and trials of embroidery, teaching and learning new skills together A warm welcome awaits you!

The Day Guild meets every Tuesday at the Bowls Tauranga South building at Tutchen Street between 10am - 2.30pm, and Night Guild meets Wednesday in the Bethlehem area from 7pm - 9pm [Contact us for venue address and entrance details via [email protected]]. We cater for stitchers of all abilities, from beginner to advanced, and endeavour to encourage everyone to explore their stit

ching potential. Formal classes are run at the Guild on a regular basis and we also bring in outside tutors two or three times per year. Informal tutoring occurs all the time with various members offering their assistance. We have an extensive library which is available at no cost for Guild members. As a member of the Association of New Zealand Embroidery Guilds, we also have access to their learning resources. Whether you do cross stitch or any other form of needlework, or want to learn any particular needlework technique, whether it be traditional or modern, we have members who can help you learn in a friendly, social gathering.

Fiona Kennedy finished this lovely stumpwork peacock started by Faye Brown who had attended a class run by Jane Nicholas quite awhile ago and never got around to finishing it. She saw that I enjoyed stump work and passed it onto me. It was fun to do.

This is the last week of our Avian Inspired Display at The Old Library Omokoroa, please come and check it out.

Its also the last of our popular Make and Take Workshops, Wednesday and Sunday (10.00 am to 12.30pm) and you can make these sweet items, a scissor keeper and fob. All materials provided. You just need $10 and yourself, come and have fun.
