Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of officiating one of my longest and closest friends marriages. Mitch Baird and Casey Baird are so clearly in love and I am so happy for them both. Having the meaningful opportunity to be involved with their amazing night meant so much to me.

Krystle Photography was all over the amazing pics (seen here) I can't wait to see more. The Tannery Boutique Shopping, Dining & Arts Emporium was the perfect venue for these guys to tie the knot and Luke Valentine from Shindigs did a fantastic job of keeping the energy up on the D-floor. Awesome working with you all.

Once again, thanks for including me in your special night guys. So much LOVE!!!!!

Yes we are back into wedding season and i'm loving it, we watched magic get married at the The Tannery Boutique Shopping, Dining & Arts Emporium as Mr & Mrs Baird said I do yesterday!

When I got the above text a few days ago from Charlie and Ollie I was STOKED! 😀

Stoked they had an amazing day, cause they were so cool throughout the whole wedding journey.

Planning over coffees ☕️ and beers 🍻, rehearsal with family 🍿and of course their amazing wedding day ❤️, there was a never ending amount of LAUGHS and LOVE!

Last Sunday I had the absolute privilege of officiating these two love birds' and marriage!

I had so much fun getting to know them over the last few months and on their special day they made me feel like one of their guests!
•
What made it even more special was the connection I have to the amazing venue and some of the epic vendors: on the 📸 and serving up the 🍰!!
•
Trav and Kim, it was a pleasure to stick around for a beer 🍻and I wish you a lifetime of ❤️ and 😁

Seriously, learn from my mistake!

The night before my wedding, instead of drinking whiskey and relaxing 🥃 I was in front of the mirror and watching YouTube 💻 tutorials, trying to wrap my head around how to tie a real bow tie!!
•
I managed to get a semi respectable one on my 114th attempt, slipped it off my neck and called it a night. The result is shown in this picture.

I recently had the pleasure of helping a father of the bride prepare his speech for his daughters wedding.
•
We worked on TWO key parts:
1) Content
2) Delivery
•
We got the content 📝to a place that flowed, was engaging, personal and communicated how he felt about his little girl beautifully ❤️
•
Next came delivery....we explored where to pause (and breathe) and what tone of voice + body language would be most effective. By the end of the coaching he was 100% confident and ready to deliver the speech of his life 🎤

Huge respect to him reaching out to me 🙏🏻

Most paperwork is boring... BUT THIS ISN'T!!! In fact it's the most loving paperwork that exists! ❤️

If you're getting married within the next 3 months you can complete the first step and get your marriage licence sorted now. This is YOUR responsibility 📝 so don't leave it until the last minute!
•
Just like Christmas shopping, the earlier you get it done the better 🎅🏻resulting in less to think about in those weeks/days leading up to the big day!
•

Wedding season is coming up faaaast. If you've had the privilege of being asked to speak at a loved one's wedding (or your own) that's awesome 🥂

SPEECH TIP- If you have ever asked an audience a question and had a lame response 🤔chances are you asked a lame question...
•
When in groups, we subconciously WANT to be told how to respond to a question. If we don't know, then we probably won't respond at all...FEAR of embarrassment 😳 is real for a lot of people. DO them a favour and take all confusion away!
•
SPECIFY THE RESPONSE i.e tell the audience how you want them to respond! Don't ask "how is everybody doing?" DO ask "if you're having a great time, give me a big thumbs up!" 👍🏻

Challenge the unwritten rules! Who says you need a "sweet wedding cake" 🍰

Why not have a savoury cheese cake that people can get stuck into before the mains come out! ESPECIALLY if your wife's favorite food is cheese and crackers 🧀 (true story in my case)
