For travelling, I'd suggest a buggy that is fairly light, compact and easy to put up and down. That way, it doesn't take up too much space and is helpful in airports too. It also helps if the buggy has accessories that fit like a Snoozeshade black sunshade.
With front/back backs, as with prams, check baby frequently as they can get very warm next to you. In my experience, a muslin between you and baby is helpful for moisture absorption, and also using the shade that is made for your body baby carrier. Don't overdress baby, as always, cotton is best and be mindful of where the sun is on baby's exposed skin. If baby has bare feet don't forget these when using sunscreen as per the instructions for use on baby's/children.
If using a sling, make sure that the fabric is breathable to avoid overheating.
