Just been rummaging through my ceramic stock and just had a curveball thrown at me.

Two Willow patterns ?
English made and NZ made.
Who knew this?

So AI tells me….While there is only one Standard Willow Pattern, ceramic historians and the International Willow Collectors organization document 10 main British willow variants that evolved as different potters created their own interpretations.

Well…ok then…let’s see if I can find the other 8 varieties.

A recent commission 🧡💚💛 This commission was a little different to the normal. Why? This cup and saucer was in ‘perfect condition’ but was being forgotten about tucked away. Rather than forgetting its connection to a very special loved one, it was time to celebrate them. So after a lot of back and forth txt’s, a group meeting and a lot of progress photos…this is how everything turned out. Words cannot express how delighted we all are with this outcome.

Tea cups are always such a challenge to work with. All those curves are a headache BUT not impossible.

What a weekend. The sun is shining on another beautiful autumns day and I’m finally getting through all my 1/2 made projects!
Last time I made up this colour, its availability did not last long. With only a couple shards of this porcelain left…if you like it, grab it!
