Dear fangirls of Wilson Trollope,
I am sure lots of you felt the same level of sadness I did, when you heard the news that Wilson Trollope would be closing. It’s funny how sometimes you may not even realise how much something means to you until it is gone. Beautiful, comfortable clothing that flatters the female form, created by a passionate and kind designer, is definitely one of those things.
Annabelle set out on a mission (at the young age of 25) to empower women to be their confident selves. Mission achieved! Annabelle has created a 12 year legacy of unique clothing that has been there at important life moments for so many of us - from job interviews, to weddings, holidays, postpartum photo shoots, OE’s. Or simpler days, like a Monday morning after a busy weekend when you need to throw something on that you know will make you feel good.
Wilson Trollope clothing is so well made that, luckily for those who proudly own a piece, it will continue to be there for us throughout our lives, long after the store has closed.
I have been so grateful to collaborate on the in-store artwork design with Annabelle over the years. Always supporting others, she encouraged me to share my website with details about my art. I love creating bright, colourful art with free-flowing brushstrokes. Taking inspiration from visual scapes found in nature and the patterns used in Annabelle’s design and fabrics. If you’d like to chat about art for your own space, I would love to hear from you.
For commissions, contact me through my website: claireredford.art
I also have 5 original art works currently for sale on my website, I would love for you to take a look... check them out claireredford.art
Annabelle’s creative pursuits do not end here. I am excited to see where her skills take her next. I look forward to the day I get to slip into something from whatever her next fashion project is.
