Custom made Zowie Dee Mother of The Bride Dress for this awesome lady who absolutely shines in this rusty Autumnal toned Silk 🍂

This dress has an asymmetric designed bodice overlay panel diagonally across one side elongating the torso, with a tailored bodice underneath and high neck front and back. She chose a flared flutter sleeve, and a gathered waist panel through the middle with a bias cut skirt with flare from the hipline down. The dress is fully lined.

This custom made Zowie Dee dress was made for this bride to be worn on her wedding day as her ‘Going Away Dress’ after her wedding. This detailed dress was made in an Oatmeal coloured Linen main fabric with a lining underneath and had pin tucks in the front and back with a slight gather in the cuffs, crown and bodice waist. The neck has a high collar with a short frill and the sleeves have a double shoulder frill, and the skirt has a very slight flare to it. The bride requested a mixture of 2 inspiration photos for her reference inspiration. The centre front is a mock button wrap with covered buttons in the same fabric I hand covered, and there is an invisible zip in the centre back. 🪡🧵✨

How cool is this custom made Zowie Dee giant bow we were asked to make to go on this wedding dress??? 🤩🪡🫶

This bow is removable, with long tails and a big stiff bow that can be seen from the front as requested from the bride. We also (of course) tailored the wedding dress too to fit perfectly ✨💖

✨2 pairs of Custom made Zowie Dee gloves! ✨

A great example of one of my fabulous brides following our motto: 🔥wear it your way🔥 Although she went for a more traditional gown, she spiced it up with some leopard print gloves! She got a pair of velvet ones made of winter and a pair of breathable cotton ones made for the wedding day with a bound ring window slit for her ring to peak out of! 💖 💍 The sides were also gathered and the gloves were full length for a bit of drama and pizzazz! 🪡🧵

I had such a lovely experience getting to know this bride and her daughter and maid of honour. I always knew when I saw she was booked in for a fitting that the room would be filled with laughter and joy as soon as they all arrived. It was so special getting to work on all 3 dresses and seeing them all take shape as we chatted about the preparations.

Thank you so much for choosing us, trusting our skills and for all the awesome conversations along the way. If you ever beed a dressmaker, you know where we are. We would love to see you again 🫶

Custom made Zowie Dee wedding dresses done need to be white! 🥰✨ This beautiful brides wedding dress was custom made recently (how stunning does she look!!) after struggling to find something that was ‘her’ in the stores. She really didnt want a traditional dress and loved the idea of a green dress but lived out of town, and not in Wellington so she flew to Wellington and had a little holiday visiting family for a 4-5 day holiday during the week while we did a 4 day turn around start to finish custom make while she waited measureup to final fitting 🪡 🧵 and she flew home with it. Sorted 😉
