OK, confession time... I think we can agree that one Everything Bag is rarely enough.

But exactly how far down the rabbit hole have you gone?

Check the official* Tings scale and report your level below.

And if you’ve reached LEVEL ∞ — SEND HELP…

Spoiler Alert - There is no help. You’re one of us now.

And there is the evidence to support that different bags have different jobs.

So, what level are you?

Sometimes our customers say it better than we ever could, and this message made my day.

Not only are their Tings still going strong after years of use, but they’re now thinking about using them for a fundraiser.

And yes — we can absolutely help with that!

If your school, sports team, club, community group or organisation is looking for a fundraiser that’s a little different (and genuinely useful), Tings Everything Bags could be just the thing.

No chocolates to sell. No random stuff destined for the back of a cupboard. Just practical bags people can use for years.

Got a fundraiser coming up? Send us a message and let’s have a chat.

And for everyone who already owns one…

How old is your oldest Tings?

⚠️ WARNING: Father's Day Post Ahead.

But this one contains no socks, BBQ tools or “World’s Best Dad” mugs.

It does contain Tings.

Because, just quietly, Dad's have tings too.

Fishing Tings.
Hiking Tings.
Gym Tings.
Travel Tings.
Tool Tings.

And, of course…

Random-cables-that-absolutely-must-not-be-thrown-away Tings.

And while an Everything Bag probably isn’t on his Father’s Day wish list, that may just be because he doesn’t know he needs one yet.

Useful. Washable. And very good at keeping all those extremely important Tings together.

Definitely more interesting than another pair of socks.

Father’s Day is this Sunday, 6 September, and Wednesday is the last day to order for guaranteed Father’s Day delivery.

What would your Dad put in his?

So… about the “we” at Tings…

If you’ve ever wondered who “we” are when I talk about Tings…

It’s me. And me. And also me.

Apparently, running a one-person business requires quite a few different personalities, sorry, departments.

Some are performing better than others.

Accounts is under performance review.
Pattern & Purchasing requires constant supervision.
(Just quietly - management seems unwilling, or unable, to deal with either of them.)

But somehow, between us, the patterns get chosen, the bags get ordered (usually too many), every single one gets checked, photos get taken, messages get answered and your orders get packed.

So when I say “we really appreciate every order, comment, share and recommendation” — I mean it.

All of us do.

Fellow one-person businesses: which of your departments needs a performance review?

Tings in the wild: Budapest edition

I LOVE getting messages like this.

While I'm sitting here in Wellington, some Tings are apparently off having a fabulous time in Budapest.

And doing exactly what Everything Bags do best: finding jobs.

Face-wipe Tings
Travel Tings
Washing Tings
Snack Tings… obviously.

Apparently the washing bag is already full, so we’ll assume it's been a very successful trip.

Where in the world have your Tings been?

PS - Photos always welcome (I need to live vicariously through my bags).

FATHER’S DAY FEELS A LITTLE DIFFERENT AROUND HERE THIS YEAR.

The emails started arriving. Father’s Day gift guides. Special offers. Reminders that Father’s Day is coming.

And I have to admit, they stung a little.

This will be my kids’ first Father’s Day without their dad, who died from MND in March.

But amongst all those reminders to buy Dad something, I found myself thinking about the things we give the people we love.

Often, the best gifts aren't the fancy ones. They're the useful things. The things that say I know you. I know what you love doing. I know the things you always have with you.

Which got me thinking about Dads and their Tings.

Hiking Tings. Fishing Tings. Gym Tings. Travel Tings. Cable Tings. Random-things-that-live-in-the-car Tings.

So, if you're lucky enough to be buying for a dad this Father’s Day, perhaps give him something for the things he loves doing.

An Everything Bag might be the gift he doesn’t know he needs — but ends up using all the time.

And if buying another thing doesn't feel right, perhaps make a donation instead. Motor Neurone Disease NZ and Mary Potter Hospice are two organisations that mean a lot to our family, and a donation to either would make a pretty special Father’s Day gift too.

Father’s Day is Sunday 6 September.

WHAT ARE YOUR TINGS?

When we first made these wet bags, the idea was pretty simple: a practical, washable place for wet things.

But then you started showing us what you actually use them for…

And apparently, you have a LOT of things. 😂

Wet things
Dog things
Sports things
Makeup things
Garden things
Craft things
Gaming things
Travel things
First-aid things
Tiny-important-things-that-absolutely-must-not-get-lost things.

And we LOVE it.

Because that’s the whole point of an Everything Bag. It doesn’t really care what you put in it.

Whatever your things, there’s a Tings for them.

So now we want to know…

What are YOUR Tings for?

Tell us in the comments — and the more random, unexpected or ridiculously specific, the better. 😆

When Tings started, there was just one "Everything Bag" - the Medium.

Then it became pretty obvious that one size wasn't going to cut it.

So one became two. Then three. And somehow we ended up with nine.

Because, apparently, life requires a lot of different-sized bags.

From the smallest Cutlery/Toothbush size, right through to the "you-could-fit-half-your-life-in-here" Extra Large, plus plenty of options in between.

Nine sizes. Loads of patterns. And a bag for pretty much everything.

Which size could you not live without?

How was your weekend? I got a message from a customer on Saturday morning that she had looked through the window of Welly Collective and my stock was pretty low, I also got a heads up from the store when it opened that tings were sparse. So I got out in the stockroom and did an emergency pack and headed into town to restock. Amazingly I managed to do it in between rain showers!
