I’ve been a little quieter on here lately; life has taken on a few different priorities over the past months.

I’m now 9 months into the journey to motherhood, and while social media has slowed down a bit, one thing that hasn’t changed is my love for the ocean: the one place where the body feels lighter and the mind quieter.

It’s also been really special testing Tamara pieces through a changing body. I’ve comfortably worn both the Matilda and Morgan styles all the way through pregnancy, still in my pre-pregnancy size thanks to the impressive stretch of the fabric, with the suits holding their shape beautifully throughout.

Next on the list: putting the June one piece to the test postpartum. A few friends have already done it during this stage of womanhood, and I’m excited to experience that support for the next phase.

There’s something really meaningful about creating swimwear that moves with women through different chapters of life. Not just holidays and summers, but growth, change, motherhood, movement, and everything in between. 🌊

Last weekend was the Wellington Gurfers competition.

We were really proud to support the open longboard and intermediate shortboard categories with Tamara swimsuits for the winners.

Events like this are a good reminder of what it’s all about: showing up, supporting each other, and spending time in and around the water. 🌊

Shoutout to for organising and for hosting the opening and prize giving!

It’s been a cold summer in Wellington, with temperatures sometimes dipping below 10 degrees. But the spirit of adventure doesn’t seem to mind the chill.

To the women braving the cold, paddling out, diving in and showing up for the ocean anyway, we see you. Go you! 💙

We’re featured in Shepherdess ✨

Such a rewarding moment to see our swimwear listed alongside products from other talented Aotearoa-based creators.

If you haven’t picked up your summer edition yet, make sure you do and check out their rural gift guide: it’s a beautiful celebration of local makers.

Huge thanks to .nz for the mention 🤍

Last night was pure magic. ✨

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Kindred Spirits premiere: the wāhine in the film, the crew behind the camera, and the community who showed up with so much warmth and support.

This story was made for you, and because of you.

Thanks again to , , .agency, , and for making the night happen.

It’s premiere day 🌊

When we first dreamt up Kindred Spirits, we wanted to capture what really happens when women come together around the ocean: the laughter, the courage, the quiet moments, the cold immersions, the joy.

Tonight, we share that with you.

Grateful for all the partners who are making tonight happen: .agency, , , ,

A few behind the scenes of our favourite moments from filming Kindred Spirits: small pockets of connection between our crew.

The quiet chats between takes, the shared smiles in the wind, the little bursts of warmth that carried us through the cold south coast days… all the things that made this project feel so special.

The film was shaped just as much by these in-between moments as by the scenes themselves. We can’t wait to share the full story with you soon 🌊

Why Kindred Spirits?

We wanted to create something that felt true to the women we surf, dive and adventure with, something that showed the real magic that happens when wāhine gather around the ocean.

Not performance, not perfection. Just connection, courage, and that quiet confidence that builds every time you step into cold water with good people beside you.

Kindred Spirits grew from that idea. A love letter to the south coast, to Wellington’s wild weather, and to the women who show up for each other no matter the swell, the season, or the southerlies.

This film is for our community, and for anyone who’s ever found a piece of themselves in the sea. 🌊
