Have been sorting the storeroom so am gearing up for another fabric giveaway soon…. Watch this space!
Ball gown season has started, so get those dresses in to me so they’ll be done in plenty of time for the ball 👗
I’m no longer open Wednesdays (Monday afternoons instead) as I’m teaching sewing in Timaru. Planning Geraldine classes next year. Please get in touch if you’re interested. More details as I have them.

It’s clean out time again!
Fancy a bit of fabric for a holiday project, something to practise sewing on, or (like me) you’re just a fabriholic?

FREE BALL GOWNS!!
Edit: Absolutely Thrilled that these dresses are being tried on and that some have found new homes!
I’ve deleted the photos of the ones which have gone, but there are still plenty more to try - get in touch and come see them for yourselves!

(The pics do not do the dresses justice - they’re way prettier than this!)
Ball season has started and I have more than 30 pre-worn ball gowns, all in good to great condition, all free!
Most are size 12ish, a few smaller, a few larger.
Loads of colours, loads of styles.
If you love one of these dresses for your ball and it fits great, you can have it.
If there are alterations needed, I will charge for the alterations only. Not for the dress.
One dress per person.

If you do want to give something for your dress, I will accept voluntary donations to the Geraldine Lodge Theatre.

I’m open again and taking appointments 😃
A couple of important notes:
vaccine passes are required, and I will be scanning them. Also masks are necessary.
One metre distancing requirements mean I am unable to get close enough to measure and fit some things. In some cases I don’t need to be so close, but in other cases i do, so my work is limited.
please be prepared to put a pin (or a staple, paperclip, sticky tape - I’ve seen them all!) In a hem or to mark a new neckline etc. otherwise please call and we can discuss ways of getting your work done!
