Hoy, en el Día Nacional de la Mujer Andina, celebramos a las mujeres que preservan saberes ancestrales a través del tejido.

Cada telar lleva tiempo, historia, memoria y el trabajo de manos expertas que han aprendido este arte de generación en generación.

Gracias a nuestras maestras tejedoras por mantener viva esta tradición y compartirla con el mundo.

Today, on Peru’s National Andean Women’s Day, we celebrate the women who preserve ancestral knowledge through weaving.

Hoy celebramos el Día de la Madre desde un lugar muy especial: con una nueva vida creciendo dentro y pensando también en todas las madres que forman parte de PALLAY. Mujeres tejedoras, artesanas y creadoras que, con sus manos y su historia, sostienen no solo un oficio ancestral, sino también a sus familias y comunidades.

Cada prenda que llega a ustedes lleva horas de trabajo, dedicación y amor. Lleva la fuerza de mujeres que tejen mientras maternan, que enseñan, que preservan nuestras tradiciones y que siguen creando belleza desde los Andes.

En PALLAY creemos en lo único, en las piezas hechas lentamente y con propósito. Cada tejido es irrepetible, creado a mano con técnicas ancestrales y materiales nobles que hacen de cada prenda una historia para llevar puesta.

Hay conocimientos que no se enseñan con palabras.
Se transmiten en silencio, entre hilos, miradas y manos que guían.

En las comunidades altoandinas, muchas madres enseñaron a sus hijas a tejer desde pequeñas, compartiendo no solo una técnica ancestral, sino también una forma de cuidar, sostener y amar.

Cada tejido toma tiempo, memoria y presencia.

En este mes de la madre, celebramos a todas las mamás que dejaron huella en cada hilo y en cada historia.

In the high Andean communities, many mothers taught their daughters how to weave from an early age, sharing not only an ancestral technique, but also a way of caring, supporting, and loving.

Esta fue nuestra última entrega de telares en la Comunidad de Huilloc Alto. Hermosas piezas listas para ser transformadas en únicas prendas.

Cada telar que ves aquí no es solo una pieza… es memoria, aprendizaje y orgullo.
Manos que aprendieron desde niñas, saberes que pasan de madre a hija, y el amor por un PALLAY (iconografía ancestral) que sigue vivo en cada tejido.

Detrás de cada creación hay una mujer, una historia y una herencia que se resiste a desaparecer.

Gracias por valorar lo hecho a mano, lo hecho con historia.

This was our latest delivery of woven textiles in the community of Huilloc Alto. Beautiful pieces ready to be transformed into unique garments.

Each textile you see here is more than just a piece, it carries memory, learning, and pride.
Hands that learned from a young age, knowledge passed from mother to daughter, and a deep love for PALLAY (ancestral iconography) that lives on in every weave.

Behind every creation, there is a woman, a story, and a heritage that refuses to fade.

Desde las Comunidades Altoandinas, el hilo comienza mucho antes del telar.

Nuestra maestra tejedora, Elena, hila la lana de su propio rebaño, transformando fibra en historia.
Cada color tiene un origen:
- Verde: teñido con chilca
- Rojo: teñido con cochinilla
- Negro: natural, de la oveja

Nada es artificial. Nada es apresurado.
Todo nace de la tierra, del conocimiento y del tiempo.

Así empiezan nuestras piezas: hilo a hilo, desde lo esencial.

Hace solo unos días, las tejedoras de PALLAY en la comunidad de Huaca Huasi exploraron una nueva forma de expresión artística junto a la artista chilena .

Ellas, maestras del telar de cintura y del lenguaje del pallay.
Esta vez, con agua, pigmento y pincel en las manos.

Así sigue tomando vida “WARMI WARMI – Diálogo de Manos y Color”, una obra colaborativa donde el textil ancestral andino inspira la acuarela contemporánea.

Mujer a mujer.
Mano a mano.
Color a color.

No fue solo inspiración. Fue creación compartida.
Cada pincelada nació del respeto, la reciprocidad y el encuentro.

Porque el talento ancestral no es estático.
Es vivo. Evoluciona. Dialoga.

Seguimos tejiendo puentes… ahora también pintándolos 🎨✨

Just a few days ago, the PALLAY weavers from the community of Huaca Huasi explored a new form of artistic expression alongside Chilean artist Adelaida Larraín.

They are masters of the backstrap loom and the language of pallay.
This time, with water, pigment, and brush in their hands.

This is how “WARMI WARMI – Dialogue of Hands and Color” continues to come to life — a collaborative work where ancestral Andean textiles inspire contemporary watercolor.

Woman to woman.
Hand to hand.
Color to color.

It was not only inspiration. It was shared creation.
Each brushstroke was born from respect, reciprocity, and encounter.

Because ancestral talent is not static.
It is alive. It evolves. It dialogues.

We continue weaving bridges… now also painting them 🎨✨

Antes de convertirse en el producto terminado que observas en fotos o en nuestros puntos de venta, todo empieza aquí.

Escogiendo lanas.
Clavando las estacas.
Midiendo el espacio.
Tensando los hilos.

Primero co-creamos juntas: elegimos las lanas, combinamos colores, soñamos posibilidades.
Luego, ellas urden.
Y en ese gesto paciente comienza a tomar forma el telar.
