Carrying with him the pride of Saranganiโ€™s rich culture, Clenton Velarde of Alabel made his mark at the BENCH Ternocon Mentoring 2025: Fashioning the Terno โ€“ Mindanao.

Under the guidance of respected mentors Gino Gonzales, Eric Pineda, Leena de Guzman, Abdul Gaffar, and Len Cabili, he honed his skills in patternmaking, sewing, and design while deepening his appreciation for Filipino heritage. He also drew inspiration from Mindanaoโ€™s traditional artistry, weaving elements of regional identity into his creative process.

Representing Sarangani among some of Mindanaoโ€™s most promising designers, Velarde sees the program as a platform to celebrate both tradition and innovation.

A catastrophic fire has displaced several people in Brgy. Logpond, Poblacion, Glan yesterday. They've lost their homes, possessions, and sense of security, but we can help them rebuild.

We are currently accepting donations (extra clothing, food, and hygiene kits) for the fire victims. No monetary amount will be accepted.
