"ANG TRISKELION AY PARA SA TRISKELION"

Kahapon po ay nag post ako ng katagang “Ang Triskelion ay para sa Triskelion” at umani naman ito ng sari saring komento at kahulugan na ibinigay ng ating mga kapatid na readers ng Fraternalism.

Masaya naman yung mga komento na natanggap natin, nandyan yung ang Phi daw ay para sa Sigma, ang Triskelion ay para sa lahat, etc. Ngunit ang nakakalungkot ay dalawa lang yata ang nakapagbigay ng TUNAY na kahulugan ng Ang Triskelion ay para sa Triskelion.

My fellow Triskelions, ang kahulugan ng nasabing kataga ay Tenet 8: A Triskelion is a brother unto fellow Triskelion. Yung pagmamahalan, suporta, at kalinga sa kapwa Triskelion UNA SA LAHAT (or bago ang ibang tao). Ang pinakaimportanteng doktrina because this is the one that defines BROTHERHOOD. The very essence of being a fraternity. Ano po ba ang akala ninyo pinasok nyo? Isang simpleng organisasyon?

Dahil siguro nga po nakalimutan na natin ang kahulugan nito kaya siguro napakadali para sa atin ang kutyain, murahin at awayin ang ating kapwa Triskelion. Dahil hindi natin alam kung ano ang Tenet 8. Worst, hindi rin natin alam na if you violate Tenet 8 it is considered a GROSS VIOLATION, at ito ay KASALANAN WALANG KAPATAWARAN dahil brotherhood nga po tayo. Dahil mabigat na paglabag ito sa ating doktrina, ang parusa po dito ay EXPULSION.

Dahil nga siguro na focus ang ating Kapatiran sa community service, naging mas importante sa atin ang IBANG TAO kaysa sa sarili nating kapatid na Triskelion. Naging mas importante pa sa atin ang magsilbi at magyabang sa labas ng Kapatiran through community service kaysa tingnan natin at arugain ang ating mga sariling kapatid na naghihikahos at salat na salat sa buhay. San ka naman nakakita na matapos mag feeding program sa labas ay mumurahin ng asawa pag uwi dahil wala sila makain? Ganito ba ang pinasok ninyo Kapatiran? Kaya pala malayo ang loob natin sa isat isa dahil mas importante pa sa inyo ang ibang tao kaysa sa mga kapwa natin Triskelion.

KAYA PALA MAGULO TAYO NGAYON SA LOOB NG KAPATIRAN. NAKAKALUNGKOT!

"COLORUM"

The most serious and devastating threat that fraternities are facing today. Yes, not only in Tau Gamma Phi but in all fraternities.
Colorums are individuals who pretend to be members of a certain fraternity, in our case, Tau Gamma Phi. They roam and mingle with legitimate Triskelions, seeking for recognition through web of lies and deception. They will pe*****te the system and minsan nga nagiging OPISYAL pa.

The question is, how the hell they are able to do this? Napapaikot ba talaga tayo?

There is a saying, IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO. Meaning, these colorums have “partners in crime” inside the fraternity. These are legitimate members, apparently have personal relationship to these colorums that they will move heaven and earth to defend and justify the colorums and make us all FOOLS. Ang tawag sa mga ito ay KANLONG. That is the reason kung bakit naglilipana pa rin ang mga colorum at ang lalakas ng loob. Mas matimbang sa kanila ang kanilang personal na relasyon kaysa sa Kapatiran. Minsan may mga nagsabi pa: “Eh kahit colorum yan marami nagawa maganda yan sa kapatiran kaysa sa totoo myembro so para sa akin ok na yan.”

Brother mawalang galang na, ang sInalihan po natin ay BROTHERHOOD. Ang ibig sabihin non ay ang pagiging magkakapatid natin or pagiging miyembro ay may pinanggalingan at basehan, at ito ay ang INITIATION RITES. That is the single and only requirement for you to be a member. No more, no less. So kung hindi ka dumaan sa Initiation Rites ay hindi kita kapatid, at hindi ka Triskelion, KAHIT ANONG GANDA PA ANG GINAWA MO SA LOOB NG KAPATIRAN.

Let us not also forget that these colorums have already committed a major offense of DECEPTION to each and every LEGITIMATE Triskelion and should be considered undesirable persons. More so, harboring (kanlong) of colorum is considered a COLLUSION and also an act of deception and dishonesty against fellow Triskelions. Makonsyensya naman po tayo.

Mahalin natin ang ating Kapatiran. Kapatiran muna bago ang sarili. NO TO COLORUM!

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀
Let’s talk about fraternity and politics. There is a clear and important line that must be respected.
As members of the Tau Gamma Phi Fraternity, each of us has the right to support any political candidate we choose. That is the essence of free will and democracy.
However, while your political choice is personal, you do not speak for the entire fraternity. Your individual views do not represent the collective brotherhood.
This is where some Triskelions cross the line by using the fraternity’s name in political discussions and affiliations. This is not only inappropriate, but it can also be divisive and harmful to the organization.
So how do we properly navigate this?
Keep politics and fraternity identity separate.
When you support or campaign for a candidate, do it as a private citizen, not as a representative of Tau Gamma Phi.
This respects both your right to political expression and the diversity of opinions within the brotherhood.
At its core, Tau Gamma Phi is about brotherhood, unity, and respect, not political affiliation.
Support who you believe in, but never claim that your personal choice represents the entire fraternity.
Unity in diversity is what makes the brotherhood stronger. Let’s protect that.

The origin of the fraternity handshake is deeply rooted in the history of secret societies and fraternal orders. Collegiate fraternities in the United States, which began in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, were often modeled after older fraternal organizations. These groups share common elements such as secrecy and the use of complex identification symbols, including Greek letters, passwords, and secret grips (another term for handshakes).

The purpose of handshakes (grips) is recognition. The primary aim is for members to discreetly identify fellow initiated members, particularly those from different chapters or encountered later in life.

Exclusivity and bonding are also significant; sharing a secret ritual like a handshake fosters a strong sense of identity and belonging, creating a unique bond among those who are "in the know" and reinforcing the organization's exclusivity.

Traditionally, these gestures preserve the history and ritualistic heritage of the fraternity.

The Triskelion Handshake is perhaps the only fraternity handshake performed in an upright position. Once the hands are clasped, it remains in an upright posture, signifying our fraternal supremacy and pointing upward toward God, our Creator, the source of our strength. This gesture directly reflects and embodies the organization's identity, symbolizing the conglomeration of the three dynamic forces: Fortis, Voluntas, and Fraternitas.

The Triskelion Handshake consists of three parts: the thumb, the little finger, and the three fingers in between. The thumb is undoubtedly the strongest finger, symbolizing Fortis. Conversely, the little finger represents Voluntas, as it is more flexible and experiences the least stress. The three middle fingers symbolize Fraternitas, indicating unity and bonding.

Sa bawat Kapatiran, may isang tungkulin na hindi gano’n kadalas nababanggit pero napakahalaga—ang Master Keeper of the Scroll.

Siya ang nagbabantay sa kasaysayan, records, at mahahalagang dokumento ng ating kapatiran. Siya ang katiyakin na tama, maayos, at ligtas ang bawat tala—mula sa mga pangalan, events, projects, hanggang sa mga desisyon ng chapter.

Hindi lang siya tagapagtago ng record…
Siya ang tagapangalaga ng ating identidad.
Siya ang nagsisigurong hindi nawawala ang mga aral, kwento, at prinsipyo ng mga Triskelion na nauna sa atin.

GRAND TRISKELION

Siya ang pinuno na dapat nangunguna sa pagsasaayos ng kanyang nasasakupan. Sumasalo ng sisi kung minsan. Madalas din nahihirapan pero di dapat sumusuko lalo na kapakanan ng kanyang mga residente. Madalas na takbuhan ng mga kapatid lalo na sa oras ng pangangailangan. Taga ayos ng guso’t alo na sa mga nagkakatampuhan. Ang kanyang mga desisyon ay dapat matibay at makatarungan.

Sa panunungkulan, hindi lahat ay matutuwa sa bawat galaw mo. Bilang isang Triskelion, lalo na kung ikaw ay Grand Triskelion, natural lang na may makabangga ka, may mga hindi makakaintindi, may mga kokontra at may mga susubok sa iyong paninindigan.

Pero tandaan mo, hindi ito labanan ng ego, kundi pagsubok ng prinsipyo. Hangga’t ang bawat kilos mo ay nakaayon sa Tenets, Code of Conduct (TCOC) at Bylaws ng ating kapatiran, huwag kang liliko. Diretso lang sa tama, diretso lang sa prinsipyo.
