Not All Heroes Wear Capes

Some wear fur-covered clothes, carry cat food in their pockets, and build kingdoms out of kindness.

Chris Arsenault was one of those heroes. After losing his son, he found a new purpose, saving animals who had no one. He turned his home into the Happy Cat Sanctuary, where hundreds of cats found love, warmth, and safety. Last week, he tragically lost his life in a fire trying to protect the very cats he lived for.

Sanctuaries like his are lifelines for so many forgotten souls. Without people like Chris, countless cats and dogs would never get their second chance.

We know this because we are rescued too. Every single one of us.
Without a kind human, there would be no King Tiggie, no Sheriff Porty, no Grandpa Cody, no Hanni Banany, no Purrea. We wouldn’t be The Eccentrics. We wouldn’t be anything.
And if you’re here, reading this, there’s a good chance you have a rescued furbaby curled up somewhere near you too. Because this page is full of people who know the power of second chances.

People who rescue animals don’t just change lives, they save them. They are the quiet, furry-footed miracle workers of this world. And last week, we’ve lost one of the greats.

Rest easy, Chris. The world is better because you were in it.

With all our hearts,
The Eccentrics 🖤
