I was surprised the top news of Japanese news paper this morning!
Japanese government r struggling to invite more foreign workers, like opening gate to simple tasking for foreign workers. Target number is, increase more 500,000 workers in 2025, especially farming and contractions, until June.
Already fixed to expand the maximum working term for technical trainees, current 5 years to 19 years from Apr/2019. Therefore, many employers complains those limit of foreign workers, and suffered really hard to maintain business.
So Japanese government may make new regulations, targeting to constructions, farming, hotels, caregivers and
shipbuilding. requesting foreign workers need to take examination, and passed them can get working visa. Their contents r not clear yet, but necessary Japanese level maybe N4. Foreign learners can get N4 level of Japanese skills by average 300 hrs training.
Increasing old people r quite drastic in Japan. In 2024, average age of Japanese will reach 50 years old, so government r starting new studying group, "100 years old life in Japan", they concern that retirement age less working contract :)
