I almost forgot that May is “Mother’s Month.” Yesterday, a post reminded me 😅. Truth is, I’ve never been obsessed with special days, birthdays, or celebrations marked on a calendar.
And here’s why: My heart breaks for the mothers who are ONLY REMEMBERED ONCE A YEAR, on “Mother’s Day.” One day of flowers, posts, and greetings... then silence 💔.
But for mothers who are celebrated, loved, and respected EVERY SINGLE DAY, that is the REAL GIFT. That is the BLESSING that surrounds you 💚.
For those who feel disappointed when no one remembers ... I feel you. I know that ache. Yet here’s the truth: if you know you are enough, your pain and sacrifices don’t need applause. You don’t need to wait for recognition. Because there is One who sees you, who applauds you without fail 👉🏼 Him.
So don’t ever feel less because no one posted, no one greeted, no one remembered. Love is not measured by a single day. Love is the everyday you GIVE WITHOUT EXPECTATIONS. Love is the QUIET, UNCONDITIONAL way God loves you.
To all the mothers — and fathers, aunts, uncles, grandparents — who carry the role of a mother, this is for you:
You are enough.
Your worth is not tied to a date.
Not to Mother’s Day, not to applause.
Peace and happiness are not given by others...
they are found in you,
in the choices you make,
in the love you give without expecting anything back.
