Parents are sometimes annoying.

They tell you to do things you hate and to stop doing things you love. They nag about the little mistakes you've done, may it be in school or at home. They compare you to their friend's smart kid or worse, your own siblings. And, they sometimes misunderstand you for being you.

But let's be honest.

Despite the tough moments where you can't grasp why they are the way they are, it's those silent moments that hit you when you realize they loved you more times than all the petty arguments you had with them and it's their love that keeps you going.

Love is first taught in the family. As we grow older, we receive different kinds of love from people who try to fill our love tank to the brim. But sometimes, it just can't be filled. We seek love in the wrong places, not realizing that home is where true love is found. Although not all homes are complete and happy, but home (however it looks like) is where pure love should thrive.

Parental love is underappreciated, especially when love is not often expressed through the words "I love you." But heaven knows our parents love us more than anything else in the world, and they would go above and beyond to prove that.

Is your sibling your die-hard fan or your no. 1 bully?

It's amazing how they can be both. They can be loving and supportive once in a blue moon but most days they're utterly annoying. 🙄

Let's admit it. Sibling love is special but sadly underrated. It's weird how misunderstandings among siblings are considered normal, but being affectionate towards each other isn't. But without a doubt, you can count on them in life's difficult moments. They will be there to back you up when others try to drag you down, and their hand is readily outstretched for you when you need one.

Don't you think romantic love is overrated?

Society's concept of love primarily revolves around crushes, boyfriends, girlfriends, and spouses. It's always about the spark and the butterflies in the stomach. But what about friendship?

Friendship is often seen as a level below romantic love. Romance a promotion, and friendship a demotion. But the truth is, these concepts exist on equal terms. Romance is not > friendship.

Platonic intimacy is underrated. The warmth of having friends by your side through the highs and lows of life feels different. The exchange of laughter and stories about everything mundane. The constant reassurance of support along with pats on the back. The mutual understanding of things that do not require words to be said. The tearful moments in the middle of serious conversations coupled with warm hugs. All these show love.

Friendship is the love that stays. One that transcends time and endures hardships.

Ka-Posit, it's still Feb-ibig. Celebrate love—all of its kinds.

Friendzone - yung gusto mong umangat ang iyong relasyon nang higit pa sa magkaibigan pero para sa kanya, hanggang dun nalang talaga.

Walang halong biro, masakit at masaklap ma-friendzone. Pero sabi nga nila, kung mahal mo ang isang tao, kailangang matuto kang magpalaya at maging masaya para sa kanya. Kahit na sa kasiyahan na iyon ay hindi ka na parte ng buhay niya.

Kung na-friendzone ka ng isang taong minsa'y minahal mo nang lubos, piliin mo ang iyong sarili at bago mo isuko ang lahat, sabihin ang linyang ito sa kanya: "In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you."
