SLIM AT THE MET: The Manila Metropolitan Theater and Slim's Fashion and Arts School launched the “Imagining/Imaging” exhibit, featuring the works of Salvacion Lim Higgins (Slim), one of the newly proclaimed National Artists of the Philippines.

The showcase presents the late designer’s newly restored Filipiniana dresses created between the late 1940s and the early 1980s. It also displays recently discovered original fashion designs from the late 1940s that have never been exhibited before, and portraits by National Artist Fernando Amorsolo with the women dressed in Slim’s garments.
