Our take on the famous Sabrina Carpenter Short & Sweet Tour corset. Commissioned as a quick custom, all materials used in this corset were all from our stash of existing fabrics and notions from the self fabric down to the rhinestones. It is a thick layer of hard tulle and neoprene with additional stabilizers, chiffon ruffle trim, cut corded lace in a flattering placement, and clumps of rhinestones with a hanging teardrop pearl on the iconic heart cutout by the bust.

One of our missions is always to help you become who you want to be with your clothing piece and thus, we always make sure each order is up to par with the provided pegs and inspiration but redesigned with a Fantaisie Gaze twist to maintain brand uniqueness and integrity. Such practice is reflected in this piece wherein our signature corset cut is done and adorned with additional appliqués to make it distinct from the original. Suffice to say, our client was in fact recognizable at their icon party regardless of the changes made.

Available for limited made-to-measure.

"The First Snow"

This 5-piece ensemble was created as an ode to the Nutcracker Ballet — particularly the Waltz of the Snowflakes. With a few back-and-forths with our client we agreed upon a design that had all details of her inspirations incorporated, ending up with one that is as if she were a ballerina in the Nutcracker Suite.

The signature look features a Gatsby fur stole clasped with a cameo brooch that is a nod to Nutcracker soldiers; a corset with beaded lace placements that are reminiscent to ballerina bodices — both speckled with sequins to look like snow with the overskirt that is also shaped in a way that looks like ice with the frosts melting down to columns of dewdrops; and lastly the crystal petticoat that ruffles underneath the overskirt, mimicking the frosty, icy winds during winter.

*This is a bespoke piece for a client. Available for made-to-measure.

“The Fate of Ophelia”

Most of us know who Ophelia is—maybe from school, paintings, or simply from pop culture. She was an innocent girl, a victim of patriarchy and the circumstances of her surroundings that eventually led to her madness and death. Never really got the life she deserved, not with her brother, her father, and not even with Hamlet. Her poetic death in the river swimming with the flowers she picked summed up who she was—just an innocent girl that paid the price for the sins of people she was not meant to be with.

As soon as this dress was finished, it was Ophelia who came to mind first. I thought, “This is probably what Ophelia would wear on her wedding.” but also, this is what I would also picture her wearing in her final hours. The pleats rippling as if moved by water, the lace flowers that clung to the bodice, the neckline looking like a bouquet carrying flowers she picked that day, the lace skirt train that trailed onto her, the pearls that symbolize tears on such a mournful event, and lastly the sheerness of the dress that is as sheer as one’s Medieval shift dress worn to swim in the river.

This was a dress that had no design plan from the beginning. I let myself play along with these leftover fabrics I selected over the course of three weeks and waited to see where it would take me. The dress begins with a base satin bustier overlayed with a hand-tacked micro-pleated bodice that starts by the empire and ends at the waist, letting it flow freely into an asymmetrical skirt. Pieces of cut lace were carefully placed onto the bodice and adorned with pearls for depth. A matching long skirt with slight train was made as a final piece to provide a two-way look for the wearer.

*This dress was made with leftover fabrics from past projects. One of one. For sale only. Comes with a custom matching intimate bottom upon ordering.

"Apollo and Daphne"

This piece is what you may call a poetic reimagining of the infamous love story of Apollo and Daphne. Such story is a result of Eros' wrath where he shot a gold arrow to Apollo and a lead arrow to Daphne, condemning both into a spiral of love and hate. While Apollo becomes infatuated with Daphne, the latter is fueled with nothing but hatred towards the former. With Daphne's desperation to flee from Apollo's advances, she asks her father to turn her into a laurel tree, leaving Apollo with nothing of her but laurel leaves.

The cut—as if to mimic an armor—comes in a brocade of gold and blue-grey. Both colors clash in this metallic floral pattern—like a dance between Apollo and Daphne—and is bedecked with silver sequins that attempt to cover the piece. A belt goes around the waistline locked with a double half moon buckle, the final piece of the puzzle that ties the whole design together.

*This is a piece made with leftover fabrics from old projects. For sale or for rent.
