ANNOUNCEMENT || In response to rising fuel, transportation and electricity costs, the academic cluster shall implement a temporary Flexible Learning Plan (FLP) to navigate current economic pressures and balance financial sustainability, employee welfare, and uninterrupted delivery of quality education.
I. Coverage
This FLP covers ALL academic programs, specifically
1. College of Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery and Biology:
a. First year Level
b. Second year level
2. College of Dentistry:
a. First year level
b. Second year level
c. Third year level
d. Fourth year level
Not Covered
1. College of Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery and Biology:
a. Third year level
b. Fourth year level
2. College of Dentistry:
a. Fifth year level
b. Sixth year level
These excluded levels shall continue with the existing full face-to-face schedule.
II. Implementation Period
The Flexible Learning Plan shall be implemented from 13 April 2026 until the end of the current semester (January-May 2026).
III. Instructional Delivery
1. All scheduled classes (lectures, laboratories, examinations) = from Mondays to Thursdays shall remain FACE-TO-FACE.
2. All scheduled classes on Fridays and Saturdays shall shift to ONLINE SYNCHRONOUS DELIVERY, subject to the following:
a. Lectures and other non-laboratory instructional activities will be conducted online.
b. Laboratory sessions and examinations remain FACE-TO-FACE.
c. Laboratory sessions and examinations originally scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays shall be rescheduled to any day and available timeslot within Mondays to Thursdays by the teacher upon the approval of the Dean.
3. Deans, Department Chairpersons and sections heads are requested to issue revised schedules accordingly.
IV. Responsibilities
1. Deans and Program Heads: Ensure dissemination and strict implementation of this memo.
a. Faculty Members: Adjust course plans, schedules, and assessments
accordingly.
b. Students: Regularly monitor official communication channels for updated schedules.
c. Staff/Support Units: Follow class Schedule; no work beyond 5 pm.
V. Effectivity
This policy takes effect 13 April 2026 and remains in force until the end of the semester unless otherwise amended.
