FROM FAN TO WARRIOR. Filipino-American actress Julia Rehwald steps into the world she once loved as a fan, now playing Marine swordswoman Tashigi in One Piece.

From rewatching the One Piece arcs and studying manga panels by Eiichiro Oda, to intense sword training and filming massive real-life sets in South Africa, Rehwald fully embraced the role. She even faced off against Mackenyu’s Zoro in a high-stakes duel she admits made her nervous.
