With your support through our thrift, we were able to put smiles on the children of Aglonok and Hilwan in Calinog, Iloilo last May 31, 2025.

The project was not done with our efforts as USAMS alone. We were in partner with the Iloilo Mountaineering Club in making all of this possible. Also, the USAMS would like to acknowledge the additional hands of the LGU of Calinog, MDRRMO, CPU Mountaineering Society, Barangay Councils of Aglonok & Hilwan, and faculty of Aglonok & Hilwan Primary School.

Educational aid such as school bags, notebooks, pencils, crayons, and bond papers were handed; alongside additional contributions including lunchboxes, water bottles, and preloved clothes for their daily essentials.

Laughter and excitement filled the air as games kicked off the program, a fun way to warm up the children who had patiently waited while supplies were being transported. Their eager smiles set the tone for what would be a meaningful day. Soon after, the children received their educational aid—each package met with bright eyes and grateful hands. To cap off the heartwarming event, everyone was treated to refreshments, bringing the program to a joyful close.

Once again, we sincerely extend our utmost gratitude to everyone who helped make this cause both successful and meaningful—from the first supporters who shopped at the thrift to the partner organizations who stood by us through to the project’s completion.

We have raised more than the expected amount for the funding of educational materials for underprivileged children in rural areas! Our gratitude is not only limited to our shoppers but also to our partner in this event, Arvi's Outdoor Thrifts. All of this wouldn't be possible without everyone's support❣️ As much as you are happy with your thrift finds, children out there are happier due to your participation in this advocacy. USAMS would like to thank you all for the immense support y'all raised for the Bag-to-School Project!

As much as we want to provide more sustainable apparel and other items, we're sad to announce that we have to close our physical booth due to the high heat index, which prompted the school to suspend face-to-face classes ☀️🌡️.

But worry not for we will be continuing the thrift sale through our page! Follow our platform to keep a close eye on the items to be dropped online alongside their prices 👀.

Good news! 🎉 Our thrift shop will still be open this Friday to Saturday from 8AM to 7PM at Alumni Hall.
