DALUYONG NG DALAWANG BAYBAYIN
WAVES OF TWO SHORES
A celebration of two worlds—Alaminos City, Philippines and the United Kingdom—united by heritage, identity, and the journey of a Filipina who carries both shores in her heart.
THE DESIGN
The Manton de Manila serves as the soul of this national costume, hand-embroidered with meaningful symbols representing Alaminos City and the United Kingdom. Flowing ocean waves are woven throughout the design, symbolizing connection, resilience, movement, and the enduring pride of a Filipina whose heart belongs to two shores.
The architectural elements and intricate details represent the rich cultural identity and landmarks of both worlds, while the waves and floral accents embody the beauty of a journey shaped by heritage, migration, and dreams.
This national costume was worn by Shaina-Anne Soliven for Miss Pearl of the Orient Philippines , proudly showcasing the artistry, culture, and heritage of the Philippines on an international stage.
