Poverty is a harsh reality that affects millions of people worldwide, and the town of La Trinidad Benguet is no exception. As a student growing up in this town, I witnessed firsthand how poverty has affected the lives of the people around me. Long ago, when I was a student, we were not distracted by the wealth of our classmates. However, in recent years, the situation has changed significantly, and the temptations that come with poverty have become more prominent.

Parents in La Trinidad Benguet are now forced to provide more for their children, even if they cannot afford it. Children are no longer content with the basics and feel entitled to the latest gadgets and fashion. They care more about having the latest iPhone or designer clothing than their parents' financial situation. If their wishes are not granted, they quickly lose interest in their studies, leading to poor academic performance.

As a result, many children are dropping out of school, unable to handle the pressure and temptation that comes with living in poverty. The lack of education can have long-term effects on the children's future, including lower earning potential and limited job opportunities.

Moreover, poverty also leads to an increase in criminal activity, drug addiction, and other social problems. Children growing up in poverty are more likely to be exposed to crime, violence, and substance abuse, which can negatively affect their physical and mental health.

It is essential to address the issue of poverty in La Trinidad Benguet to create a better future for the children in the town. The government and non-governmental organizations need to work together to provide education, healthcare, and job opportunities for the people in the area. Parents must also instill values of hard work, honesty, and perseverance in their children, regardless of their financial situation.

In conclusion, poverty is a pervasive problem that affects the lives of many people in La Trinidad Benguet. Children growing up in poverty are exposed to numerous temptations, leading to poor academic performance and limited future prospects. It is essential to address the issue of poverty through education, healthcare, and job opportunities to create a better future for the children in the town. Parents must also instill positive values in their children, which will help them overcome the challenges of living in poverty.

Grouping people according to the place they come from is a common practice that can be seen in many parts of the world. It's often done based on race, ethnicity, nationality, or even regional differences. Unfortunately, this practice can lead to people feeling superior or inferior to others based solely on their place of origin, which can result in discrimination and prejudice.

It's important to understand that where we come from is just one aspect of our identity, and it doesn't define us as a whole person. Our experiences, beliefs, values, and personality traits are unique to us and can't be solely attributed to our place of origin.

When people are grouped based on their place of origin, it can lead to stereotypes and assumptions being made about them. For example, someone who is labeled as "foreign" may be assumed to have different beliefs, values, or behaviors simply because of where they come from. This can create a divide between people and lead to feelings of superiority or inferiority.

Feeling superior or inferior to others based on their place of origin is a form of discrimination and can lead to harmful consequences. It can result in people being treated unfairly, excluded from opportunities, or even subject to violence or hate crimes.

It's important to recognize and celebrate our differences while also acknowledging our similarities as human beings. When we focus on what unites us rather than what divides us, we can create a more inclusive and accepting society. This means valuing and respecting people for who they are, rather than judging them based on their place of origin.

In conclusion, grouping people according to their place of origin can lead to discrimination and prejudice. It's essential to recognize that where we come from is just one aspect of our identity and doesn't define us as a whole person. We should strive to create a society where everyone is valued and respected, regardless of their place of origin. By celebrating our differences and focusing on what unites us, we can build a more inclusive and accepting world.

The color of one's skin should not determine their worth or value as a person. However, the sad reality is that racism and discrimination still exist, and it can affect various aspects of a person's life, including their job prospects.

In many cases, job applicants are rated according to their race, which is a form of discrimination. This means that people of color may face additional barriers when seeking employment, and their chances of getting hired may be lower than those of their white counterparts.

As someone who has experienced this firsthand, it's disheartening and frustrating. It's a painful reminder that the color of my skin can be a disadvantage, even when I'm qualified and capable of doing the job.

It's essential to acknowledge that racism and discrimination can manifest in subtle and overt ways. For instance, a hiring manager may not explicitly state that they are rating applicants according to their race, but their bias may influence their decision-making process. This can lead to a lack of diversity in the workplace and perpetuate systemic inequalities.

Addressing this issue requires a collective effort. Employers must strive to create a more inclusive and equitable hiring process. This means actively seeking out a diverse pool of candidates, examining their own biases, and providing equal opportunities to all applicants.

Furthermore, we need to continue having open and honest conversations about race and racism to create awareness and educate others about the impact of discrimination. It's essential to work towards creating a society where people are not judged based on the color of their skin, but rather on their skills, experience, and character.

In conclusion, the reality of being rated according to one's race when seeking employment is disheartening and frustrating. It's a reminder that racism and discrimination still exist, and we need to continue to work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society. It's essential to address this issue collectively by creating awareness, educating others, and striving towards a world where people are judged based on their merit, not their skin color.

When I was young, I used to love playing teacher student with my neighbors. I would gather my siblings and friends, and we would all take turns being the teacher. I loved the idea of teaching and inspiring young minds, so it wasn't a surprise when I decided to pursue a career in teaching.

Fast forward a few years later, and I am now working in a school. Looking back at my childhood memories, I can't help but think, "Be careful what you wish for." While teaching has its perks and is a fulfilling career, it is not without its challenges.

Teaching requires a lot of patience, dedication, and hard work. It's not just about imparting knowledge but also about molding the character of your students. I've realized that not all students are the same, and some require more attention and guidance than others. As a teacher, it's my responsibility to identify each student's strengths and weaknesses and provide them with the necessary support to help them succeed.

Another thing that I've come to appreciate about teaching is the impact that it has on the lives of students. Teachers are not just educators but also mentors and role models. We have the power to shape the future by inspiring and motivating our students to be the best versions of themselves.

However, being a teacher also has its downsides. One of the biggest challenges is dealing with difficult students and parents. Not all students are cooperative or well-behaved, and some parents can be demanding and unappreciative. It's essential to have excellent communication skills and a strong support system to navigate these challenges.

Despite the challenges, I wouldn't trade my job for anything else. Teaching is a rewarding career that allows me to make a positive impact on the lives of my students. It's a privilege to be able to inspire and motivate young minds and help them reach their full potential.

In conclusion, my childhood dream of becoming a teacher has become a reality. Looking back, I realized that being a teacher is not as easy as it seemed when I was playing teacher student with my neighbors. However, I have also discovered that teaching is a fulfilling career that allows me to make a difference in the world.
