A message to the AW Community from the new AW Team
First, we want to acknowledge how disappointing, disrespectful, and unempowering the previous management's actions and decisions were in handling the challenges they faced after the passing of our late founder. For that, we extend our sincerest apologies.
We’re writing to let you know that Active Woman is now under new management.
Our immediate priority is to take full responsibility for all outstanding matters — whether that means pending orders, unfulfilled items, participant concerns, or clarifications.
We have started responding to messages one by one last week but please understand that we may not be able to get to everyone right away. At this time, we are only two people who have stepped up to try and fix the situation left behind by the previous management. Still, we are committed to doing our best, and we won’t stop. Nor will we leave this community behind — even if it means taking the heat and intensity. We fully understand the frustration, and your disappointment is valid.
We want to clarify that while Active Woman was a co-presenter of the past event and not the main organizing body, we fully acknowledge that we chose and trusted the partners involved. Their failure to fulfill their responsibilities is, in many ways, a reflection on Active Woman too — and for that, Active Woman is truly sorry.
While Active Woman has never held the funds nor does it have direct control or authority over the production and fulfillment of entitlements like race kits and medals, Active Woman is doing everything to ensure that these are either completed, delivered, or made, or, if necessary, replaced with equally valuable alternatives that fairly represent the worth of your registration.
We understand that no amount of monetary compensation can undo the stress and dismay this experience has caused. But please know that we are committed to making things right in the best and most sincere way we can.
We only officially acquired access and management of Active Woman as of June 16. Since then, we’ve been trying to trace what we can find since the previous team is no longer responsive, trying to ask help from remaining active partners, and making use of any available material that we can find including databases, email access, lists, and tracking reports so we can organize and fast-track what can be resolved.
We know we can’t fix everything overnight, but please trust that we are working with urgency, sincerity, and heart. We’re here now because we believe in this community — and we want to protect the name and legacy of Active Woman, not let it fade in shame.
Thank you for your patience, and for continuing to believe in what Active Woman stands for. We will rebuild: stronger, better, and with the honesty this brand owes you.
