Every day when I wake up I would always look in the mirror.
"You're not enough."
"You're a disappointment to yourself and to others, Pam."
''You don't look like her.''
Growing up, I would always believe that for me to fit the mass' standards of beauty is that I should dress the same way with what the media was saying.
"Dapat clear skin ka."
"Dapat payat ka.''
These thoughts keep on encircling inside my mind and maybe it's true. Indeed, I was not enough. I would never be enough.
But, I love the fact that one day I can lift up others and say to them that
"It is okay to be yourself.",
"It's okay to free yourself from what the world says."
So, now dressing up for me is not a burden anymore but a privilege.
Privilege to express yourself.
Privilege to accept yourself.
and say ''I am enough.'' and ''I will always be enough.''
