In case you have been affected by the storm and your property sustained damages, here are some reminders for insurance claims against the Acts of Nature (AON)/ Typhoon cover.
🚗 🏠SECURE YOUR PROPERTY AND YOUR SAFETY
Protect yourself and avoid further damage to your property and its contents
• MOTOR VEHICLE: For vehicles that were fully submerged or if flood water has reached the engine, do not start the engine and disconnect the battery
• PROPERTY: As soon as possible, take steps to restore your property to good order to prevent further damage.
📷DOCUMENT THE DAMAGE
• Motor Insurance Claims
o Take a photo of the damaged vehicle, including the registration plates, full body, and damaged portions.
o Take note of the circumstances of the loss such as the duration the insured vehicle was flooded
• Property Insurance Claims
o Take photos of the damaged areas, parts or items clearly showing the damage sustained vis-a-vis whole property insured or undamaged areas, parts or items.
o Take note of the height of flood water and duration of flood
📳REPORT THE INCIDENT
Immediately notify your insurance provider of any possible claim.
