What to really expect at your bridal fitting ✨

1. It won’t fit perfectly right away
Even if your gown is stunning, expect pinning, clipping, and adjustments. This is totally normal—the dress is being tailored to you.

2. You’ll stand… a lot
Fittings can take 30–60 minutes (or more). You’ll be standing while the seamstress checks length, bust, waist, and overall fit.

3. Undergarments matter
Bring the bra, shapewear, or cups you plan to wear on your wedding day. It affects how the dress sits on your body.

4. Shoes are a must
Your exact or similar-height heels help determine the correct hem length—this is crucial.

5. Expect honest feedback
Your seamstress or designer will guide you on what works best for your body and the dress structure. Trust their expertise.

6. Movement check is important
You’ll be asked to sit, walk, maybe even dance a little—to make sure you're comfortable all day.

7. Multiple fittings are normal
Usually 2–3 fittings are needed for the perfect fit. Don’t expect everything to be done in one session.

8. Bring a trusted person (but not too many)
One or two people whose opinions you value is ideal. Too many voices can get overwhelming.

9. Small changes can make a BIG difference
A slight nip at the waist or adjusting straps can completely transform how the dress looks.

10. You might feel emotional
Seeing your dress come together hits differently—it’s completely normal to feel excited (or even teary 🥹).
