A little late to the Meralco discourse… but honestly, this conversation is bigger than one off-the-charts billing cycle.

While we usually blame Meralco itself, a huge part of the problem starts way earlier, with how the Philippines powers itself.

Today, most of our electricity still depends on imported coal and gas. While coal has helped power our rapid growth for years, we are also living with the long-term costs and risks that came with that system. Swipe ➡️ for the bigger picture.
