We are privileged to have attended the 1st Postgraduate Course conducted by the Philippine Society for Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (PSMID) entitled “ID FOR ALL: Practical Infectious Disease Updates for Clinicians and Frontliners” last 15 August 2026 at Summit Ridge Hotel, Tagaytay City, together with our friend and colleague from Resurrection Animal Bite Center in Tanza, Cavite.
The seminar featured four (4) clinical bundles. The final session, Clinical Bundle 4: “When Timing is Everything: Preventing Fatal but Preventable Infections,” covered two (2) very important topics:
• No Second Chances: Rabies Exposure and Prevention — Dr. Mark Joseph S. Castellano
• Rusty Myths and Real Risks: Tetanus Revisited — Dr. Evelyn A. Roxas
Learning should truly never stop. Continuous learning allows us to strengthen our knowledge, skills, and professional competencies, especially in healthcare and nursing, where evidence, technology, and standards are constantly evolving.
By keeping ourselves updated, we become better equipped to provide safe, effective, and evidence-based care to our patients.
Grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and grow with fellow healthcare professionals. Looking forward to more seminars and learning opportunities in the future! 😉
