Team ABR emerged as the Overall Champion of the FELET Pahiyas Festival National Badminton Tournament held last May 9 and 10, 2026 at Iñigos Sports Center in Lucena City, Quezon.
Competing against a strong field of clubs and regional teams from across the country, ABR delivered another composed and consistent campaign across multiple divisions to secure the overall title in one of the tournament’s most competitive editions to date. Closely following them in the overall standings was Team BCBA, which also produced several strong performances throughout the weekend to remain within striking distance of the championship race.
The victory also marks ABR’s second straight overall championship in Lucena, successfully following up the title they captured during last year’s edition of the tournament. The result further strengthens the team’s growing reputation as one of the most established and disciplined programs within the FELET Champions League circuit.
This year’s FELET Pahiyas Festival National Badminton Tournament served as another major stop on the Road to AgSur 2026, drawing athletes from different regions preparing for the upcoming national season. Across several categories and divisions, players faced packed schedules, close matches, and high-pressure situations throughout the two-day event.
One of the tournament’s defining storylines remained the continued rivalry between powerhouse club programs competing for overall honors. The battle between ABR and BCBA once again became a major talking point across the tournament floor, reflecting the increasing depth and competitiveness of grassroots badminton nationwide.
Beyond the competition itself, the event also continued to build its distinct cultural identity around the atmosphere of Quezon Province and the Pahiyas Festival season. The tournament’s now recognizable “Kalabasa” medals once again became one of the most talked-about features of the event, blending local harvest symbolism with the growing branding identity of the FELET Champions League.
For Team ABR, however, the weekend ultimately centered on results. By the conclusion of the tournament, the club once again left Lucena carrying not only medals, but the distinction of being crowned Overall Champion in another major stop of the FELET Champions League Season III calendar.
