their gummy smiles as sweet as candy and filled with a ray of sunshine you never knew existed until it flashes at you,⁣

their eyes that look at you so intensely, and when they connect with their mom, love is given and received through only a look,⁣

their baby smell is so delicious that you want to bottle it up and whiff it all the time,⁣

the milk drunk look, where they're so content and sleepy, with half a smile and milk dribbling down their cheeks,⁣

the sweet gulping sounds they make when drinking,⁣
⁣
their hair, so soft to stroke,⁣
⁣
swaddling them into cute little burritos,⁣
⁣
feeling them grab your fingers,⁣
⁣
how they nuzzle into your chest as you feel their little bodies rise and fall,⁣
⁣
and their chubby baby thighs that you want to nom nom nom.⁣
⁣
And it's nice to be able to fit your whole world into your arms,⁣

even if it’s just for a short while.⁣

And that’s why a mom can’t resist a newborn baby.⁣

Sleep with your children, hug each other while you can under the covers, do not be afraid of that addiction.
Children are small only once, then when they grow up they will find their way and their spaces.
Sleep heart against heart, so much so that you feel their breath, because there is nothing more beautiful than this.
Enjoy their childhood and their company, love them as if the world were going to end today because tomorrow they will have grown up and you will think that you lacked time to hug them.❤️

Thank you for giving me your milk, it was my favourite thing.
I loved to be near you, I felt calm and safe and happy.
I loved when you stroked my face and we looked at each other for hours.
I’m sorry sometimes I was a bit pinchy, or would fidget, I didn’t mean to hurt you, it’s just that your milk was so magical it made me sleepy.
The dreams I had that started with your milk were the sweetest.
