Centered in mythology, Rayo de Luces Guia tells the story of Apolaki, the deity of the sun, and Mayari, the goddess of the moon, while exploring how butterfly sleeves—the signature component of the Filipiniana—can elevate their collection.

This season, the competition focuses on reimagining Filipiniana for wearable, formal wear, and haute couture using Philippine Tropical Fabrics (PTF) and local weaves woven by weaving communities.

This initiative is under the Textile Academy Program of the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI), in partnership with Intramuros Administration, Cebu Pacific Air, GMA Pinoy TV, Preview.ph, Onesimus Suits and Barongs, Taguig Manpower Training Center - TMTC and I Love Taguig.
