Far Eastern University’s “Bread of Hope” program has been named one of the 2025 Exemplars by the 49th People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), placing it among the finalists vying for the prestigious People Program of the Year award. The 2025 Exemplars are outstanding organizations and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in people management.

“Bread of Hope” is a joint initiative of the FEU Community Extension Services (CES) and the FEU Manila - Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (ITHM), launched in July 2021. The program equips Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) with practical skills in breadmaking, offering not only a sustainable source of income but also a renewed sense of purpose and hope.

The PMAP Awards stand as the premier recognition program celebrating excellence in human resource management and organizational development in the Philippines.

FEU and Taylor's University renew 15-year partnership

Juan Miguel Montinola, president of Far Eastern University (FEU) spearheaded the renewal of the partnership agreement with Taylor’s University in Malaysia. The event commemorated the two institutions’ Crystal Anniversary— a collaborative journey spanning 15 years, underscoring their unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and cultural exchange.

The ceremony, attended by the FEU Vice President for Academic Development Evangeline Bautista, Institute of Health Sciences and Nursing John Anthony Yason, Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts Isaiah Susi, and Director of Education Technology Office Catherine Catamora, served as a tribute to the milestones and achievements attained through this enduring partnership.

TU is represented by Prof Barry Win, Vice Chancellor and President, Prof P.T. Thomas, Executive Dean, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Assoc Prof Dr Phelim Yong, Head of School, SBS, and Assoc Prof Dr Adeline, Head Research, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
