He would have been 79 today.
Our Tatay started from humble beginnings. Together with our mother, Rosie, they built a budding shoe empire that basked in the glory of the Marikina shoe industry in the 70's.
They were hardworking and had uncompromising standards. Excellence was the norm.
Unspoiled even at the peak of their success, they remained humble and resilient, unfazed by challenges.
The sparkle of the glory days may have dimmed for some time but their legacy lived on.
They proved nothing is impossible. Starting small is still a start. So today, on his 79th birthday, we honor the man by recommitting to the values he lived - hard work, excellence and passion.
