"No matter how old or torn we may feel, there is always someone somewhere who sees us for who we are..."

The author likened us, human beings, with an ukay-ukay item that he said is never unwanted. And that there is someone who will appreciate and accept us no matter how worn out we might have been.

And I say, as your mellow (ukay-ukay) girl, I know who that is! That's JESUS. Only that we are actually worse than these ukay-ukay pieces that we see and actually buy. And yet despite the brokenness, the damage, the unworthiness, He bought us. He bought us so we can be NEW again; no stains, no damage, no filth, and no trace of wear and tear. Brand new. ❤️

In many ways, ukay-ukay is more than just a thrift store; it is a reflection of our culture and our humanity, a place where discarded items find new life and purpose.
