We were going to depart when it started to rain, and there was lightning. Prince Haru groans in pain as an arrow is sunk straight through his shoulder. Nonetheless, he managed to grasp my hand and depart, leaving me in safety.
Amid the woods, we came across a wooden home. The first prince takes me inside and wants me to remain there until he returns. I can use the sword he gave me if I need to.
We entered the minka house. "Promise me you'll stay here till I return. And hold this sword. I'll be back as soon as possible," the first prince promised.
"But you're in pain!" We need to find a physician," I told him.
"Don't be bothered about me. Hiromi-san, stay here. And I will be back!”
As soon as he walked out of the house and locked the door, I screamed, “No!!! ”
Just outside the door, I heard a loud gunshot. I am terrified. Is it possible that it is the first prince? Could he be a one-hit wonder?
I'd like to see it myself, but I recall what he said. "No matter what happens, stay here!"
Suddenly, I heard footsteps. It was getting closer all the time. I grip the sword firmly in my hands.
When the door banged open, my heart skipped a beat. A big bald soldier entered, ready to pounce with his sword on me.
My body was flooded with adrenaline. I am quick enough to strike the opponent with my sword in the heart, and blood gushes through his body. And he landed with a thump.
I couldn't think I could pull it off. I couldn't kill a fly.
I went back to get the sword. I ran and messed around. There were screams and gunfire. I was trembling with fear, and this was not the world I had dreamed of. I only watch it in movies and on TV but not in real life. Until now, it hasn't all sunk in on me. I wish I was dreaming and back in my real world.
As I ran, I fainted until I lost consciousness from fear and was tired of running.
I woke up soaking wet. Not in my bed but in this strange place, rain's pouring hard, there are corpses everywhere, people screaming, mourning for their loss.
Am I just imagining things? Is this for real? There's a silhouette in front of me, and I can barely see in the dark. A sudden grasp on my arm took me up on my feet. His eyes filled with anger, and he uttered these words, "I'll take you back."
Wait... What?? Take me back to where? I felt a sudden pang of pain. A dagger in my back, blood gushing out of my mouth, and death slowly engulfing me.
